Hey! So I played on here a couple of years ago. Looking to get back into it, I remembered how much I love LotC! Realised that I know hardly anyone (if anyone! Not sure who plays). There was a suggestion for a plague recently, I think the main issue was that the last one in Asulon separated roleplay and not enough people got involved (didn't want to have sick characters, didn't want to lose their characters) and while the ET can make up for some of this, an event that needs to be done on such a large scale needs to have player participation. If you can come up with a solid idea to combat that, the event proposal would be much stronger and the event itself much more likely to succeed.

Update~ Added to step #3 (still more to come!) I use the same tool in Gimp although I don't click bit by bit (takes too long! :P) I do it all in one go by texturing

I'll do some more work on this ASAP :P

Of course I remember you :P you were one of the first people I ever spoke to on LotC The skins look really good! The detail is impressive, especially in the armour.

Warning – this guide is image intensive (as necessary for a skinning tutorial) and may cause lag when a spoiler is opened. About a year and a half ago when I was fairly new to Lord of the Craft I decided I wanted to be able to make my own skins. This is because I hated wearing a skin I wasn’t fully happy with and I wanted to be able to create designs for myself and others. I was inspired by Randomness710 (thanks cmack ;) ) who is an excellent skinner known for her desirable skins. Instead of simply asking for one, however, I sent her a private message asking for skinning advice. She told me her methods. I tried them and some suited me, some didn’t. I spent lengths of time googling in an attempt to work out how to shade (the thing I struggled with the most), how to design and good programs to use – I found there are very few decent guides, so I decided to make one of my own. In this guide I will take you through what I have discovered works best for me (many of you may take elements of my techniques if learning to skin, everything, or nothing at all, it really depends on how you work). It’s taken me around a year and a half of practice to get to where I am with skinning today, so I encourage you all not to give up! Keep trying until you find something that works for you and continue to perfect it :) this is simply a guide for ideas. Ah, perfectly said right here. I also play mostly non-combative women and in my time I've experienced both excellent and terrible villain RP. This sums up why the terrible was just that- and why the excellent wasn't. It makes a huge difference if the villains make the roleplay unique and interesting for the victim.
