It's a WIP, shading to come ^-^

Warning – this guide is image intensive (as necessary for a skinning tutorial) and may cause lag when a spoiler is opened. About a year and a half ago when I was fairly new to Lord of the Craft I decided I wanted to be able to make my own skins. This is because I hated wearing a skin I wasn’t fully happy with and I wanted to be able to create designs for myself and others. I was inspired by Randomness710 (thanks cmack ;) ) who is an excellent skinner known for her desirable skins. Instead of simply asking for one, however, I sent her a private message asking for skinning advice. She told me her methods. I tried them and some suited me, some didn’t. I spent lengths of time googling in an attempt to work out how to shade (the thing I struggled with the most), how to design and good programs to use – I found there are very few decent guides, so I decided to make one of my own. In this guide I will take you through what I have discovered works best for me (many of you may take elements of my techniques if learning to skin, everything, or nothing at all, it really depends on how you work). It’s taken me around a year and a half of practice to get to where I am with skinning today, so I encourage you all not to give up! Keep trying until you find something that works for you and continue to perfect it :) this is simply a guide for ideas. Spend most of my time running away from mobs.

The design is decent but the shading doesn't match up. The hair is shaded in a layer style whereas the body with noise. Personally I'm not a big fan of noise as it doesn't look realistic, but that is simply an opinion. Like I said though, the design isn't bad - I just think it needs better shading.

The reason you don't see FMs controlling flame wars is because the majority of the abusive posts end up hidden almost instantly, the players privately warned or the threads trashed. I don't understand how you expect to see someone warned? These warnings only show up to GMs, Admins, the players themselves and FMs. The only thing you really can see from them is archiving, there is no need for a FM to warn someone publicly.

What you've done for the server is truly amazing. I've come to respect you as both a staff member and a person and I admire what you've achieved on LotC, your leadership will be missed.

I've been a part of the server for over a year now, so yes am confident that I do. Why you want to be an AT member? Since joining the server, the application team has always been something I felt strongly about joining. I was previously a Guide and mentor and thoroughly enjoyed interacting with newer members of the server. I believe I can implement this as an AT member due to the fact that the AT are the first people to connect with these members. I can also be active and committed to my role and guarantee I will take it seriously and maturely. I'm very active on the forums and would like to assist in minimizing the wait an applicant may experience before being accepted or denied. To me the AT is all about teamwork and player involvement- two things I feel are my strengths.
