  3. Aret awakens from his meditation long enough to read the application. He writes only a few words before falling back into his trance: "Accepted, directions will be given shortly."

  5. Aret nods and sends a bird. "You will provided with directions to Tawazen shortly." Aret pauses, thinking it through, noting the morals category. He converses with one of his Eclipses before writing a note back. "I wish to meet you in person for this. Perhaps some way can be arranged to meet up and speak."
  6. My biggest would be keeping your members occupied somehow and keeping out the drama. When the drama gets high, tensions, both OOC and IC rise as well. Of course, if you're like me and have good officers, they enerally are able to keep the rest of them busy while I would focus on major projects, plans and diplomacy.
  7. Aret sends a message. "Accepted. Instructions on the way to Tawazen."
  8. News of Nienna's apparent death makes its way to Exalted Speaker Terafir "Terry" "Aret" Ryzhan. He dismisses the Mediator who brought the news along with a copy of the will to him. He quietly sits in contemplation for a while. If one were to know him well, one would see a touch of something in his eyes. Sadness? No. Disappointment? No. Something more subtle, something with more words. Only a small while longer, and she would have been able to see the light that comes after the dark. Resignation. Yes, that is it. Terafir calls back his Mediator, speaking, as ever, calmly to him. "I will be travelling to collect what belongs to me in the will. In the meantime, where is the body, and how did she kill herself?" The Mediator stops and stares back. "Sir... there was no body. Only the will." Terafir speaks in his usual emotionless voice. "If you saw no body, then odds are she is not dead." Terafir dismisses the Mediator yet again, standing and pacing behind his chair. After a full half an hour of pacing, he finally mutters. "The Vision will know the truth." He stands and walks out, intent on collecting what is his and praying for a Vision to reveal the truth. Much later... Terafir arrives at the house and looks around, surveying the area. he carefully picks up the massive shuriken, eyeing it before hanging it from his belt. He makes his way upstairs, using a knife to pry open the locks. He looks again over the area, and pulls a speak from the wall. He slips that over his shoulder into his weapons pack, and after a few moments, mutters a prayer to the Vision, quietly leaving. OOC:
  9. Aret sends a letter. "Accepted. I will send you the location of Tarazen shortly." Aret writes another letter. "Accepted as well. You will shortly be redirected towards Tarazen."

  11. Since Telanir says he's rather busy to write up a post, I'll be explaining how the issue of lag will not be a problem. I asked Telanir the exact same question and he gave me this answer. When you craft an item, notice how you have to manually refresh the time. It is not in real time, constantly updating. When you begin crafting an item, it saves and logs the time and date of the start of the crafting. It then lies inactive until you next go into the crafting area and refresh the time. It then takes the current date and time and calculates the difference, then subtracts the time left accordingly. While you are going about doing other things, the crafting bench or any other workstation lies there doing NOTHING. It does NOT constantly have to update. The only time it updates is when you enter the workstation menu. In fact, it will most likely even reduce lag from the current system.
  12. I will say that this system took a much shorter time to learn with than regular crafting. It took me days to learn regular crafting at least, and even then I was terribly inexperienced (sometimes I still have to look on the Internet for some recipes). This one took maybe about a half hour. By then I started to remember where each craft was and what was required for it, and things went much faster. As someone else said, it's a lot like the Xbox version of crafting where you don't even have to remember the formations and recipies. You just need the materials, and tada, it makes it for you.
  13. Aret skims through it and sends back a letter. "Accepted. Send a bird to Exalted Speaker Aret (Terafir) or Mediator Faiz (ymbninjakiller) for directions towards Tarazen, our primary base." Aret frowns. "You appear to be missing the last portion of the application. Please send an edited full version." ((Read below for instructions.))
  14. I can certainly say I saw the best and worst of the Blackmonts throughout Anthos (didn't know you before then). I remember getting robbed in Kingston by about 7 of you guys, and everyone was chill and rolled with it. You basically took my food that I had, RPly killed me, then told me to just log out or soulstone away without taking any of my weapons. I think that was what you set out to do. Be an antagonist to any character, but not get to greedy or stuck up. I appreciated that. Sadly, the instant the Sariant-Rosemont war started, and maybe a bit of time before that, the hate rose to an extreme level and I'd say both sides broke a ton of rules just so they could win. I'd say you started out on the right path, but ended up tripping over the fence onto a bad path because it was only a quarter-meter high. What I mean by that is there is only a tiny difference between being a good personal antagonist to someone, and a really bad one. But I suppose its just part of the history of Anthos now, eh?
  15. In a situation that once happened to me where I was almost BRd, a verdict was made that the character essentially must forget anything that could make them guess on how they died. In other words, for war deaths, I would simply say that you have your character think that the battle still has yet to be fought, as it doesn't allow them to guess what happened yet they won't be completely clueless when told that the battle did happen.
  16. Videos instead of walls of text? Yes. No bashing or hating on anyone specific or even suggested in the video? Yes. Alright, you peaked my interest to reply. PvP default... I'm not sure about. There will always be people who abuse it, but I've had a few encounters personally where it has solved some situations. At the same time, I've seen it somewhat wreck some really good and fun rp fighting I had and I have watched by someone striding in during the middle of the battle and demanding PvP. PvP default... again, I'm not sure. There will always be pros and cons, and all I can hope is eventually some sort of intervention is made by either the admins or even the players themselves to stop this. What, again, like Sparrow said, I have no idea. Magic I very much enjoy, and have no qualms about it. I can't wait to see what the magic plugin is like. And maybe for your next video you could take about the removal of VAs, that's another large topic. Or you could decide not to, in order to avoid the inevitable flame war that will happen. Either way, good video.
  17. Aret nods as he reads the letter and doesn't bother to send a reply. That is the response I expected... there is no point in pestering them further..."
  18. Aret looks about the halls, the rooms ready for the new recruits. "And so it begins..." ((Thanks, I'm really proud of it.))
  19. Aret sighs, sending off the last two letters to the order of Saint Lucian and the Dwarves. He stands up and heads outside, climbing a ling wooden stairway to the Druids grove at the top. He stares out across the valley and the Hive. "if the Dwarves can damage the Hive... and the Lucians and the Sariants can push North, further drawing away the forces of the North from the Hive... perhaps our ground forces invading the Hive may stand a chance... He frowns. "It would all have to be so quick though..." He sits on the edge of the cliff, thinking long and hard about what to do next. OOC: Edit: Scion warclaim is at 5:30 PM EST

  21. Aret carefully opens and reads the letter, before nodding. He drafts a carefully worded reply back. "I understand your situation and the risk towards your nation. The threat grows ever greater as many attempt to ignore the obvious. Among the many, I have hope that the Dwarves can counter all three threats. If there is any assistance you need, simply request so and I will attempt to get what you need. While we are unable to defend your lands from Oren in the hopes of remaining neutral in this war, and as we currently have allies speaking of a land attack upon the Hive, we can only offer any assistance we can against the Ondnarch. Our hopes is that you can wound the Hive before allies begin a hopefully final assault. The sooner you engage, the better chance we have of winning." Aret sighs, having recieved word from his men that such would happen. He smiles a bit, before writing a reply back. "I understand your dislike of the Adunians, however, as a keeper of balance, I will not even ask for them to convert, as it would be against our edicts the Vision has decreed. You speak as if the Scourge are nothing but a mere whim upon this land. If they are so, and they are so easy to defeat as you say, then why not push further North into their lands, so that you many conquer it in the name of the True Faith? More power would be granted to you, and less destruction may be upon the realm. You also speak very highly of the Teutonic Order; therefore, as I have had dealings with them in the past, I believe that if you two united to push North, you would be able to conquer vast amounts of territory in a short period of time. I trust both yourself and the Hochmeister to work together to force your way North. Therefore, I rescind my previous request with the Adunian rangers; I now urge you to take up arms with the Teutonic Order and their Sariants and push North. If anything, it will draw Scourge forces away from the Hive in an attempted defence of the North. Once we eradicate the Northerners, you will have ample amounts of land to work with. A plan has begun to form in my mind, and for you I need you to push North. My apologies if I have offended you, but I only wish to see this matter resolved in your group and the Teutonic Order engaging the Northerners and winning the fight."
  22. How dare you all... Just look at the museums dedicated to art in any city. Don't you know, art is all naked people? That it's the thing that defines art? (On the other hand, they're very good, well done.)
  23. If I remember correctly having the same IP address as another player is forbidden (I believe its an "unwritten rule"). I'd try and contact an admin to let them know what is happening (although your ban appeal should do the trick). Otherwise, I'd still take a mod's advice over mine. Also, I would consider this rule heavily: Make sure your account's safe! Don't share your account with anyone else, and don't give out your password to anybody. It's your responsibility to keep it safe, not anyone else's.
