  1. "Artimec," Eandyil Torena half shouted as he pounded on the door to Camoryn manor. "Meriel seems to be missing! Also, how do you feel about... hello? Are you there?" OOCly So am I going to have to go....hunting?

  3. *Sighed* "Does this mean we can't all just get along? Fine, fine." Eandyil wandered off, keeping his own council.
  4. Held a Tornbark staved bow in his left hand, his right drawing the empty bowstring, "Any contributions I might offer for the cooking would be in materials. While I make no promises on that front, I'll be there." OOCly: Erin might do some cooking if needed.
  5. Faering? AME AME AME! ... Too soon? Okay, okay....
  6. Eandyil Torena considered the news, thoughtfully. He'd never actually spoken with anyone in Haelen'or, they didn't particularly seem interested in him one way or another, yet found he was happy for them. "I'm certain you'll do well," he said softly to the man in the distance, knowing his words would go unheard. Not even elves had hearing that sharp. He left then, back to his own work. The day was young, yet...
  7. "What this? I signed and dated it. How!? I took it to dinner first..." MC: Eandyil IC names are Pesha Voldi and Eandyil Torena
  8. "I will offer you the valuable, and extraordinarily rare, shrubbery. I'll also build a fortified manse in the city's center and call it an embassy, because I'm a nice guy. No? Two shrubberies?"
  9. Hmm... That's an interesting read, thank you for sharing.

  11. In time, a younger Sirame would come looking for his friend, the man whom had inducted him into the Sirame all too recently. Though no simple youth anymore, the younger man was no stranger to harsh climates. Since the destruction of The Sword Invictus, since the war for Polaris, Eandyil had traveled the lands, looking for a place he could truly consider home. Aelthus had shown the silly Ean that home had been among his people, waiting for him the entire time. He learned to properly wield a sword and shield, no longer relying exclusively on his bow. He learned to have fun again. He even found another to share his fears, his hopes, his joys with...all because the El'Chirr of the Sirame saw fit to speak to a bored, lonely young man trying to find his place in the world. It was no surprise that Eandyil, formerly Nathar though now of Torena, joined a small expedition to find his friend, to bring him home. It was with regret that he couldn't bring home a live, happy friend, or even the frozen corpse left to the elements. He wouldn't let it break him, his friend wouldn't have wanted that, but his heart was heavy. With Shanyeld, his constant companion these days, and a few other friends of the missing man, he finally had to give up the search for Aelthus, El'Chirr of the Sirame. The elf new sorrow, unashamedly mourning his missing friend, but hoping against hope that he might live. Someday, perhaps they would find him. Find him or no, the young Torena hoped that his friend would at last know some measure of peace.
  12. To be completely fair, from the perspective of the Arch Druids followers, or their descendants, their part probably has him as a hero who imprisoned a mad woman. He was then shot in the back by a vile traitorous enemy and left to rot, or some such, and it may be prophesied that he will rise again some day for whatever reason. Even as official lore, there will always be controversy. Look at real world history: I imagine that the Germans remember the liberation of Poland in far better lights than the Polish remember their conquest as a single for instance.
  13. A young elf paces in front of the poster, not so much deciding what to do so much as how to do it. After some minutes he stops, nodding once sharply, then looks around for a table. Drawing pen, ink, and parchment the young Mali writes a quick, perhaps boastful message. Folding it, he leaves it on the bottom of the poster, addressed to "Duke Roland, of Polaris." When opened, no sign of his hesitation might be spied in the lettering, although one might feel a rushed feeling to the quickly written note. "I've met you once, neighbor, when I accompanied my Captain (Adoros) to your town. Whether you hire us or not, I've an offer for you. Grant me the room and the materials, and for a price I'll build you one of the most impressive churches to be found in our world. Take a chance on me, a relative newcomer, and I'll readily take a chance on you. As opposed to the half up front approach so many favor, I'll use your materials and build you this church with nothing down, leaving payment until such time as it is complete. Furthermore, I'll leave you a partial list of materials I'd require, all recoverable with a little time, and should you dislike the style I will personally tear it back down for you. If it should indeed prove to be the most impressive church you have ever spied in our fair land, I would not turn down a bonus, however I would never presume to be so masterful as that. I'm fairly young with little achievement to my name, but mistake me not... I believe I can deliver. What say you my Lord, care to take a chance?" After a brief span, there was the flowery signature, easily read, of Eandyil Nathar, a mercenary with the Sword Invictus.
  14. Poster: Eandyil ((MC NAME)): Eandyil ((Skype or teamspeak or both)): I've got both Name: Eandyil Nathar Age: 30-ish (I don't remember lol) Reason for signing up: A chance for adventure, and to get a start in this world Weapon of choice: Sword, though I've some practice with a bow. 15. Out-Of-Character Information Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication! What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: Eandyil How old are you?: 33 Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): I sure am now! I tend not to swear, regardless. Have you applied to this server before? (Please link all past applications): No Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes What’s the rule you agree with the most?: That you've got to have both sides agree on mechanics vs written PvP. I'm generally in preference of PVE, but I don't have a problem with PvP either. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): Not at this moment, but I am game to ask questions as I come up with them. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? I went browsing some server lists looking for a new RP Server. I used to host my last one, but me and my co-founder had issues IRL, and I left it to him. It's somewhat ironic that Finite Realms doesn't seem to exist anymore. Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! What is roleplaying?: That honestly depends on who you ask. For instance, my sister would tell you it's getting dressed (in character) and grabbing your gear (foam weapons/armor) and meeting your foes on the field of battle! My nephew thinks it involves paper and dice, and a good DM. Roleplaying is, in essence, anything done in character. What is metagaming?: Using out of character knowledge in game. For instance, if I've done a quest before I might know that the loot was hidden in a tree stump, then have my character say "Hey, that looks like a likely place" and instantly rush off for that, instead of going step by step through the adventure for the first time. There's no reason to look there, as the character has no idea it's there, but by going out of my way to find a reason to look there I'm metagaming. What is powergaming?: Powergaming is essentially gaming toward a specific goal to the exclusion of all else. A powergamer will often stick to the rules, but will often ignore story and roleplay unless it furthers her personal ambitions. Her goal is to maximize her character and achieve her goals, and she might say such things as: "Get out of my group, you're killing my xp!" or "I can't help you right now, I've got to get to that GM event and you'll just slow me down." Power gamers are also known for trying to twist everything to their advantage, observing the letter of the rules but ignoring the spirit that the rules were made in. For instance, if it's technically legal to steal something for an RP, a powergamer might steal something they want and claim it was for an RP. And finally, powergamers tend to try to make it very difficult to be beaten. If you lay in wait for a day, waiting for just the right time to attack her, she somehow manages to instantly know you are there and avoids your attack. If you shoot her with a fireball, she insta dodges behind that person. If you hit her with a person-specific missile, she teleports out of it's range of attack and then teleports back to hit you. In-Character Information Character’s name: Eandyil (Nathar) Character’s gender: Male Character’s race: Mali (Specifically wood elf) Character’s age: 29 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Eandyil Nathar has endured much over the years, or so he thinks. He was separated from his family when they left the old lands for the Fringe. His mother, Rhian, had been pregnant, and all the world knows how precious that is to the elven people. His father, Chase, had left him with his grandfather's sword (Eriond), bow (Belar), and armor. While tasked to stick close, he could not help but stop to aid a pair of desperate humans, a husband and wife. The wife had fallen, and the husband was trying to protect her as the masses fled for the gate with the same urgency so many shared. He helped the lady to her feet, and with the humans fled to the Fringe as well. While armed, there was little he could do to halt the destruction of the only world he'd ever truly known, the land he'd called home for so long. He'd planned to find his family on the other side, but the chaos of the moment made it truly impossible to find anyone. He stayed with the young man and his wife, whose names he'd learned were Beltien and Polerin, planning to search the various communities of the Mali. But time had a way of passing, and there was so much that needed to be done to truly build their new world. The young man spent his time helping his new friends, building their town, living as they did. Few others truly seemed to trust him, alas, as the more superstitious of the community began to blame him for any little thing that went wrong. While Beltien and Polerin did their best to stop it, there's only so much that can be done. And so, at last, young Eandyil has set out on his quest. First to retrieve his grandfathers arms and armor, and then to find his kin. Personality Traits: Brave, Loner, Has a good heart but poor people skills Ambitions: To find his people and relearn their ways. Strengths/Talents: While an Elf, having spent so much time living with humans has changed his perceptions somewhat. He's more prone to building in the human style than that of the Mali. Having helped forage for the town, he is still quite good with his bow, and he's learned to blend the styles of the human and mali in such a way as to have a somewhat unique look. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Generally anti-social, although there is hope he will overcome this shortcoming in time. He's sometimes inordinately stubborn, a little arrogant when cornered but more likely to avoid a confrontation than to cause one. That said, he won't run from a fight unless the odds are highly against him. Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): He's tall for a wood elf, almost as tall as a regular human. He's somewhat muscular, with an ageless quality about him. Appearance, please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin (If you need help, see our screenshot guide here): For whatever reason, every time I try to upload a screenshot it says "No file was selected for upload." It shows the file name, it just doesn't accept it. I'll try and add it to this post later. I still can't upload here, but I did on my photobucket account. <img src=http://s70.photobucket.com/user/ettenok/media/Eandyil.png.html> Edit: Expanded strengths and weaknesses somewhat, updated my verbiage, expanded metagaming, updated powergaming.
