      Macbook pro's are very solid and will last you for 4-5 years without issue as long as you take care of them.

      @Violino What course are you taking? If you will be using software for projects, then you may want to avoid a Mac due to most software being made for MS. I know a lot of our economists had trouble with that since our licences econometrics software is windows only.
