Though for a fighter, it is a lifestyle. It is not just a game of winning or losing, it is a highly competitive sport. With multiple factors which can turn the tide of a fight, the Underground is unpredictable, deadly, and rewarding. H I S T O R Y Established in the 1st Year of the New Age, Freeport Underground was originally designed with the intent of entertainment for aristocrats and nobles. The idea for this was inspired by the short-lived Imperial Boxing Association (IBA) hosted in Helena, the former capital of the Orenian Empire. As Freeport attracted more lawless figures, the Underground adapted to the changes by offering more auspicious options to appeal to the culture-shift. The A R E N A Freeport Underground (FPU) is a fast-paced, either solo or team-oriented event. Thanks to the innovation of new weapon and armor designs, the possibility for combat is endless. Gone are the days of brainless sword swinging. Today we welcome the concept of equal opportunity for everyone in the arena. Whether you are a solo fighter or team fighter, upon registration you are assigned to one of the five teams. From there, scheduled fights and management will be done by each team’s Pit Master. These individuals will come together on an annual basis to decide how the FPU is going to continue development and growth. A C C O U T R E M E N T Upon signing onto one of the five teams, you will be assigned your garb which you will be required to wear on fight day/night. You will be assigned two uniforms. One for if you are scheduled as the home fighter. Another for if you are scheduled as the away fighter. The apparel for each team is as follows: Red/Green {Team Name - TBD} Blue/Cyan {Team Name - TBD} Purple/Pink {Team Name - TBD} Yellow/Lime Green {Team Name - TBD} Orange/Light Blue {Team Name - TBD} L O C A T I O N As the title entails, we are based out of Freeport, a southern settlement to the east of the Druid Grove. You are not required to live in Freeport to be a Pit Master or fighter, but you are expected to show clear representation that you are affiliated with our community. Part of what I said before, I really do appreciate a good bandit group. Treat me well and I'll do the same for you. If you want to rob me, go for it. As long as the whole give and take rule applies, everything is cool. Though I will say there is a reason people are labeled as the "pvpers" and the "roleplayers". You are often branded with the name PvPer because people know you for your clicks, not your roleplaying. Roleplayers is the other way around. If we saw a universal change and PvPers were actually just roleplaying well with their bandity, etc. instead of defaulting to PvP, things might start looking out better. I haven't had a bandit interaction experience this map yet, but I do look forward to one in hopes to back the claims of others who have said it is much better than it has been in years.

I believe that the primary problem with bandits on every map is the general reputation which is built around them. As Mickaelhz explained, everyone has this whole agreement that bandits are the bane of LotC. While this is often true, there are times when some new groups pop up that like to bandit just because they actually enjoy the rp. There is an equivalent amount of times that new bandit groups pop up and they also just do it for the pvp and harassment because they’ve learned that is at times how reputation is gained on LotC. Calling it good or bad reputation is not exactly a fair statement. They have a bad rep with rpers and a good rep with pvpers or other bandits. I believe that Mickaelz isn’t as bad as many others. I don’t believe anyone is really that bad. But even as they have agreed, bandits have made a bad name for themselves on way or another. One of the primary reasons people are definitely getting upset with bandits and is entirely understandable this map is because we haven’t even made it a full week. Grinding is hard enough and the stress of it is going to work people up. I understand everyone has their own rp and that there shouldn’t be anything which can prevent them from doing it, but be considerate even if it is for some bread. I was starving for like two days.
