EXAM PROBATUS
APPROVAL OF EXAM
AS ISSUED BY FR. CYRUS CARDINALIS ALBAROSA
( @MCVDK )
It pleases the Office of the Prelate, beneath the 47th Pontificate of Pontian IV, to hereby issue approval of the Canonical exam submitted by the Acolyte Malcolm of Lallybroch ( @Drew2_dude ).
By the issuance of this approval, the Office of the Prelate confirms the fulfillment of Canonical education and sees fit the Priest-candidate is ordained by a Bishop or thereup.
This exam confirms knowledge of the subsequent topics:
The Holy Scrolls and the mandate thereof
Dogmatic principles of the Canonist Church
Catechism of the Canonist Church
Hierarchy of the Canonist Church
Laws and ordinances of the Canonist Church
It is therefore concluded, by the Office of the Prelate, that the Priest-candidate holds adequate knowledge of the Canon to sermonize and practice as a full-fledged member of the Canonical clergy. It asked that the Priest-candidate in question contacts a local Bishop or higher for the rite of ordination. This serves as evidence for the approval exam.
His Eminence, Fr. Cyrus Cardinalis Albarosa
Praelatus Ecclesiastici, Archiepiscopus de Albarosa et Episcopus de Buron

What magic(s) will you be teaching?
Alchemy
Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:
Alchemy - or natural philosophy - is the overarching term for the various subsects of science across the material realm. It is most often defined as the focused study of all mundane energy and objects that creates the material realm as a whole, from which an alchemist utilises the unseen metaphysical aspects of the mundane to concoct potions or otherwise substance related objects for his own, his friends or perhaps even his enemies usage.
There are three main pillars in the core field of alchemy:
I. Symbols and signs, which act as the main component of alchemical crafts. It is akin to an alphabet of metaphysical substances which lies behind each physical object.
II. Botany, reagents and processing, which act as the physical objects from which symbols and signs are extracted by the alchemist: and thereafter used.
III. Potioncraft, which act as the combination of the pillars above, from which the alchemist can craft and concoct near any potion through the use of extracted symbols and signs.
Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?
Whereas there are various subsects of alchemical origin known as (for example) Further Alchemy or Infernal Alchemy, and while these are born on the shoulders of alchemy they are much more advanced than the absolute essentials.
Within the core of alchemy itself, there are three main subjects which are of interest to the alchemist:
I. Identification, the process wherein the alchemist deduces the properties of material reagents in reference to the material script. (Signs and symbols)
II. Extraction, the (various) methods wherein the alchemist extracts the qualities of material reagents to heave the needed signs and symbols from the material.
III. Mixing, the process wherein the alchemist once more combines the elements of signs and symbols to craft potions anew.
Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?
SpoilerCan you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?
“Not too fast now,” murmured the elder alchemist as his youthful student rushed towards the alchemical lab before them, himself trailing thereafter. “If you knock anything from the shelves, you will pay for them yourself.” He added in a huff as the two entered the lab. “We shall start over there, youth, by the ocular enhancer.”
“We shall begin your lessons here, youth, with the first core of alchemical knowledge; that of the identifications of signs and symbols, found in every material component on this earthly soil, indeed, tied to the alchemical alphabet.” The elder alchemist reached for a pouch of redstone, crushed lightly into a dust to fill less space, before the man placed the alchemical component beneath the ocular device. “Look, look,” murmured the man, ushering his student forth to peer into the small circular glass at the top of the elongated shaft of the device; as the student did so, the elder alchemist reached forth to lightly point around the object. “You see this,” the alchemist pointed out the various signs and symbols hidden beneath the outer-layers of the redstone. “This is what makes the entirety of our world, everything we touch, see; it is made of these signs and symbols at the very core. It is a delicate knowledge, yet entirely logical in nature, for one need simply observe closely and one will find.” He pointed to a specific area of the dust. “You see this? This is the sign of earth; one of the primary signs, the others are water, air, fire and aether.”
“Earth, water, air, fire and aether,” repeated the student then with a nod.
“If you look even closer, you will find the symbols; minor elements hidden beneath the signs.” The elder alchemist pointed once more, guiding the student in the right direction. “This dust contains vigour,” the man pointed around a small area. “Instability,” once more pointed to an area for the student to follow. “Rage,” added the man lastly. “We can use these for our potioncraft by extracting them from the material component; however that’ll be a lesson for another day.”
Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?
In the scenario the student of mine choses to powergame, I would react as soon as I hear. Should this occur in the midst of the teaching, I would correct the student in his or her powergaming and inform them of the mistake made in the specified scenario. I would furthermore clarify for the student of my lack of interest to teach powergame; and such behaviour would see them removed from my TA in any future scenario. Similarly, if this happens after teaching (or while I am not present) I would reach out to them once more to discuss the issue at hand. I would find the root of the problem and try to eliminate that root.
If this behaviour continues beyond what can be found as a mistake, I would contact the ST with the evidence required. Ask them to be removed from my TA and allow the ST to find the reasonable punishment for the powergaming of the individual.
Do you have a magic(s) you are dropping due to this app? If so, link it:
No
Do you agree to keep the ST updated on the status of your magic app?:
Yes
Have you applied to teach this magic on this character before, and had it denied? If so, link the app.
No

NOTICE OF DEFROCKMENT
DENUNTIATIO DEFROCKMENT
BY THE WORD AND AUTHORITY OF OUR PONTIFEX, members of our clergy has been found in disobedience of our Canon decree.
It saddens the heart of the Curia when the news of disobedient members of our Church reach the ears of the Reverend Cardinals and his Holiness. We have eternal hope in the best of our members and desire to see them flourish beneath the light of God, and yet our hope is on rare occasions crushed by the harsh truth of reality. We are not all made for His peace and His word. We are not all made for the restraint of priesthood.
By the failure of registration in the ecclesiastic census, these members are henceforth recorded as defrocked of clerical status within the Canonist Church:
Father Erhard ( @rep2k) shall henceforth be known as Mister Erhard, his ecclesiastical status stripped.
Father Clemens ( @Sander ) shall henceforth be known as Mister Clemens, his ecclesiastical status stripped.
Father Alfred ( @Froschli ) shall henceforth be known as Mister Alfred, his ecclesiastical status stripped.
Father Roland ( @Unknown ) shall henceforth be known as Mister Roland, his ecclesiastical status stripped.

This is lovely. Well written and unique.
More MA’s need this; actual culture and stories associated with the MA for people to interact with outside of the abilities itself.

An unremembered Ichorian of yore, once a cultural head of its warrior, perked amongst his solitude at the mention of his ancient ways; before his eyes narrowed in contemplation.
“Wisdom comes alone through suffering,” murmured the soldier as his bone-knife returned to his hilt, a slaughtered deer on the soil beneath. He shook his head, staring at the catch. “Torture, dear friend; it was torture then and now. A path most honourable, perhaps, yet scars live on the soul as valleys between mountains. Pray they learn; for a soldier haunted by his tutelage is no soldier at all.”
Lysanthir, the Druii and warrior unremembered, then ran his Ichor filled fingers cross his face; two lines highlighted once more beneath his eyes in eternal memory. “Pray they learn,” before he and the deer vanished between trees of the forest.
