  1. The loss of rescue raids

Permitting one party to provoke/make an attack on another party through abduction/kidnapping executed by RP and/or PVP means, while disallowing the provoked party to retaliate in-kind is both an unfair and ridiculously unfathomable from an RP perspective-- especially in the case where a person of high-rank (such as a nation head), or one who is highly vulnerable (such as a child), is taken. This is a rule change that is flawed in its core; it unabashedly favors the offender over the victimized group-- protecting the offending party from a warranted PVP response from the defender (victims) party--and makes zero sense RPly for the would-be rescuers who are being forced to do nothing short of “talking things out” or just accepting their fate. In any reasonable character’s estimation, a counter measure in an attempt to save the captured individual, (or the right to retaliate for their execution if found to be the case, I would argue-- though it’s not currently permitted by rules) is not only RPly the logical course of action, but also unquestionably justified. To ask these communities to do otherwise is to deny their right to RPly deal with the situation in a direct, decisive, time-sensitive, and feasible way just because the solution would utilize PVP combat as the means to this end. This would make sense if PVP/raiding in any other form was disallowed, but that is not the case. Ultimately, such a change will not eliminate problems, but may actually serve to compound them-- encouraging those who kidnap to do it to the point of abuse, as they are shielded by the rules (and currently non-existant WC's) and therefore will suffer little or no consequences for their actions.
  2. Question: Raid Numbers and Cooldowns Poll

I agree. This is an issue that directly affects the day-to-day gameplay for many communities, such as the orcs, and it directly affects our ability to build and sustain activity-- as raiding, slaving, etc is a fundamental component of the orchish RP/culture. Our community really wants to see those results/numbers
  3. OK, just to clarify because there is this non-stop back-and-forth, you were informed both via a forum post and directly by Rex Kuntklobbera following the honorary ceremony wherein he called you out for what you had done and then ordered you forever whitewashed, banished, KOS, and then had you executed on the spot. There were MANY witnesses-- of which, Horton was one, as was I.
  4. Rex U'la'Yar wipes the blood from her palm, having sealed the newly reaffirmed pact with her Kaz'Ulrah allies. "Mi grukz dat in tik, hiztury wull zhow dat der wuz nub greytur allianze den dat uv Krugmar agh Kaz'Ulrah..." the feorc would say to herself, as she and her delegation head off to smoke some green with her dwarven allies.

(You cannot be whitelisted without logging in at least once):Yes Definitions What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is acting, writing, and/or speaking, as a character, instead of oneself. What is metagaming?:Using or discussing out of character information to a player/characters advantage, that the character could not have possibly known in the context of the world/situation they are in. An example of this would be a player averting an area he/she is currently heading towards, but which he has heard is being raided over teamspeak. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?:Powergaming is when one RPs their actions or words in a way that gives them power or success in a situation or over another player, and which eliminates the other character’s/player’s ability to respond. An example of this would be a player claiming he/she has successfully robbed another player’s character and escaped without that player (who was present for the alleged event) ever being given the opportunity to interact, and potentially thwart the action/claim, through actions, words, etc. In-Character Information Character’s name: Ania Character’s sex:Female Character’s race:Uruk (Orc) Character’s age:(born 1590) 18 Biography: It had been almost 10 years since the Siege of San'Kharak when Ania was born, and yet the fallout from that event still ruled so much of her life. Ania was the first daughter of Argak, a blacksmith, and his wife, Olgra-- both refugees who survived the devastation wrought upon their world by humans in their conquests. Ania was raised in an encampment comprised of other displaced orcs who had banded together as a sort of makeshift mixed clan. Ania was third in line, behind her brothers Anak and Agugk, and being conceived too soon after her brother Agugk, she was born smaller than she should have been for her kinfolks size. As such, her mother would often tell her when she would get into trouble growing up, that because of her size, she owed her people a life debt and should spend her time doing things that brought them honor. Ania knew that her mother was speaking of the massive loss of life the orcs endured during the age of the fall of War Uzg, and that the desire to refortify their numbers was all that spared her from being culled. Ania took this message to heart, and though she could not manage to keep out of trouble, she swore she would forge herself into someone who was strong, capable and fearless, and who would strive to serve her people and bring honor to her family. Ania also pledged a secret vow to herself: to help resurrect War Uzg, and work to become someone who can stand among her bruddas, as they bring wagh to those who would spill their kinsfolks’ blood. Growing up, Ania was not close to her mother, but rather, her father and eldest brother. She knew she was not the pride of her father that Anak, his firstborn, was. But, as her mother often said, something changed in Agugk the day she was born— and he cherished Ania as his most beloved. Therefore, through most of her childhood, Ania was at her father’s side, watching him as he would klomp with Anak, and teach him to skillfully work metal and bone. As she got older, being mostly untended, she grew more and more independent and strong-willed, and soon found herself drawn to the thrill of a fierce klomp, and in love with the savagery of wagh. Agugk, however, to the disapproval of her brother and most of her makeshift clan, would not allow Ania to partake in such. Instead, he pushed her off to the surviving kin of a departed shaman whenever her bloodlust would begin to stir, hoping that they would have some scrap of wisdom to teach her. Though Ania knew her father was doing this to try to keep her from harm’s way, she couldn’t help but feel stifled and rendered impotent by his protection. In her heart, Ania wanted to obey, and her greatest desire was to earn the respect and pride of her father, and so she made every effort to follow the path he wished for her; however, she found she could scarcely ignore the curse festering in the core of her being when the bruddas would go wagh. For Ania, listening to elders blah of days now gone, times when powerful shaman would summon ancestral spirits to impart their power or healing upon the clans, only served to turn her mind to her consuming bloodlust, and how she would use magik to help quench it. Knowing that remaining close to her father would inevitably mean disobeying him and earning his disappointment, she took the opportunity to ask for permission to depart with her brother Anak, when the time arose for him to leave to further his knowledge of blacksmithing and to earn his renown as a warrior. Though she was sure she would be denied, Ania asked her father for his blessing to accompany Anak on his exodus, and was caught off-guard when her father said he would allow it. Though, his approval was contingent upon her seeking out a shaman to teach her to commune with her ancestors. Therefore, Ania and her brother swore an oath to her father that she would do as he has ordered, and seek out her teachings. However, for Ania this means she would now be free from her father’s watchful eye and in the care of her older brother, who often warned her of becoming weak from being overly coddled as a child. And so, setting off, a great fire stirred within her, for she believed in her gut that her brother would allow her to learn to klomp, and that perhaps someday she would spill the blood of her enemies. But first, she would have to honor the promise she had made to her father, and seek to become the shaman he wants her to be. Personality Traits: Ania is iron-willed, full of convictions and hope, and has great love for her family, the old clans, and her people. Although she tends to be stubborn, mischievous, and restless, she is also very creative, spiritual and independent. Ania is inquisitive, clever and intelligent, and often gets lost in thought, though her normal disposition is engaging, talkative and playful. Being the first daughter born to her father, she shares a deep and strong bond with him. This led to Ania becoming a bit of a tomboy, as her father took her with him whenever the opportunity arose. Ambitions:Being smaller and more deeply thoughtful than most kubs, her family has steered her towards spiritual pursuits, with the hopes she can find her true path to serving her people as a shaman. However, despite wanting to fulfill her family’s wishes, Ania desires to wagh like many in her clan. However, due to her nature and size, others would tease her (or scold her, in the case of her parents) for having such reckless ambitions, so she keeps this desire secret. Strengths/Talents: Ania has always been mischievous and restless, and constantly sought to literally slip through her father’s hands as a small child. Years of the escape and chase cycle with him has led to her developing into someone who can easily spot an opportunity and seize upon it, as well as molding her body into a limber and agile tool most often used for wreaking havoc upon her family’s patience. She is clever and soulful, and tends to feel too much for her own good, though she is rarely guided by emotion, but instead is ruled by her mind and reason. She is full of pride and honor, and in young adulthood strives to be someone that will make her family proud. She is logical and intelligent, and has surprised others at time with her ingenuity, though she is often too restless to see a project through to its end. She is inquisitive and loves to be taught, but finds learning the things her mother teaches and which all females should learn to be tedious and most vexing. Weaknesses/InabilitiesAnia is smaller in stature than others of her race and gender, and tend towards smaller features, which limits her options for ways in which to contribute to the needs of the clan, as well as all but eliminating future as a mate (as she would likely bear smaller children). She is stubborn, often to the point of being obstinate, and can sometimes lack focus and lose direction in tasks she takes on. Despite her size, Ania is physically capable, though she can sometimes be clumsy, mostly owing to her lack of focus or attention. Appearance: Ania is petite, standing roughly 5’6” tall, and weighing approximately 155lbs. She has a generally lean, lithe, sporty build, though like her mother she tends to carry a little extra bulk on her legs, hips and rear. Like the rest of her family, Ania has thick, wavy, long black hair that she typically ties together with a thin strap of leather on either side of her collarbone, and which is partially dreaded at the front (a few pieces at her temples). Ania also has an almost silvery, ashen-blue skin tone that is unique to her kinfolk. With her small build, Ania tends towards finer features for an orc, save for her large brown eyes that glint and dance with her emotions— intense and turbulent like a sandstorm. She has smaller tusks for an uruk, something she is insecure about, and an ever-present mischievous smirk, which tends to get her in trouble with her mother for smiling when being scolded. Skin:
