New player here. Is it possible to engage in the server without interacting with it out-of-character, like through Discord?

yes you can definitely do this approach, and you can get really far with it too so don't let it discourage you! i would highly recommend not using any aspect of ooc because it can really take away from the fun of the server if you're in it for the creative writing aspect (rather than the friendships from the communities). best of luck, amigo
