https://docs.google.com/document/d/1F2sAeI8I9-9owjfnOPLjsRa19kIHBBDfR5_6KrNJx9A/edit Houe Hightower (DOC VERSION) -------------------------------------------------- HOUSE HIGHTOWER OF HIGHTOWER The Old Man of Oldtown got news of the Grimm’s denial. Shaking his head, he called for Ser Garth ‘Greysteel’ Hightower, and proceeded to pass him orders, very express ones. As Ser Garth nodded and took the old man’s orders, he gathered two men and rode to the port that took boats from the island that the Grimm keep resided to the main land. On more pressing matters, the troops under the command of the Tyrells are recalled, but not to be drafted off from the liege lord’s command, but rather to regroup with the rest of the levy, about 5000 men, in Brightwater Keep, vassals of Hightower, to gather, and prepare for war. Whilst the Lannisters of the Westerlands claim the Lacy Myrcella is Queen, House Hightower personally wishes to back that claim, though they shall not take action so long as the Tyrell don’t. They are loyal, and follow their lieges... but to what extent? (A map with the location of the rally, Brightwater Keep, North of Oldtown) Meanwhile, the ‘Mad Maid’, Malora Hightower, is sent with around 20 Hightower knights to King’s Landing, to discuss some… private matters with Stannis Baratheon. Despite Lady Malora’s… mental state, she is still trusted in diplomatic missions. ACTIONS Ser Garth Greysteel sent to the Grimm Keep (Already resolved) Troops recalled to Brightwater Keep to regroup and start maneuvering for any Tyrell war plans. (MOD) The Mad Maid, Malora Hightower, is sent on a special, secret meeting with Stannis Baratheon, with a raven sent post-hand by Maester Walys. (BARATHEON)

Playerbases thoughts on Cults, Evil Groups, Antags.
Vaasek replied to TheWyrdWolf's topic in Arcas OOC Archive
What do you find interesting about these sorts of groups? If done right, they can be unique, provide roleplay with their different goals and are generally fun to roleplay WITH or AGAINST. Any typical pitfalls these groups can fall into in your eyes / what don’t you like about these types of groups? They are almost too edgy sometimes and their actions can be sometimes be without reason, mindless. In my opinion, when you want to make an antag or just evil group, you need thought behind it. What do you expect to get out of these groups in your interactions with them? Intriguing and fun roleplay that can engage me with their motives and reasons. Any groups(player run or staff run) that you think got it right/wrong? Explain why. None so far. -

“Wake up, Nei.” Cold… But it wasn't cold mere minutes ago. His eyes forced him awake, or was it the dream’s end? The wind slapped him in the face hardly as he slowly started to stand up, wincing in pain with the lacerations a dire wolf had caused him. Dire wolves, this far north. It was weird for him. North was warm, south was cold. The dark elf carried himself over to the remains of a lit fire, hand covering one of the cuts into his stomach, plopping himself down onto the snow next to the destroyed fire. Wincing in pain, his mind decided this was the right time to start ******* with him. “Do you really love me?” “I do.” “Why didn’t you tell me?” “I was scared. Scared you might leave me.” “You should’ve told me…. No petty curse would make me leave you.” Why now? He felt as if he was about to die… Maybe he was. Cold, cutted and lacking resources… Perhaps he should just stay… “You drank it?” “No, I didn’t. Those fucks want me dead for killing that half-blood scum.” “You were defending me…” “Silence, both.” “But…” “Just run, Nei… Run…” They didn’t trust him. They never did. His crazed mind after the roll of bad situations passed onto him like a truck on a highway. But he ran… “You aren’t welcome here anymore.” “Karin’ayla, Evar. Been a while.” “Just leave, Nei. You are banished…” His name… What was his name? It was too big… Usually just called Nei, but having taken in so many adoptive family names. Nei Serene, Nei Silma, Nei this, Nei that. It was too much to keep track, really. “They killed him… Nei, they killed Toren…” “They’ll pay for it… I swear on my grave, they’ll pay for it.” It didn’t matter really. The snow around him was white. It comforted him. At least the snow was peaceful… But then, the snow changed color… And his vision… dimmed. How odd. And it changed color again… It got darker, but it seemed so much lighter… And so, the snow… it’s pure, innocent colors… were ruined… ((OOC: Nei was fun. He has died for a while now, but… it was really confusing to me as to why I PK’d him in the first place. From married druid dedicant to broken, mad scholar. I’m not very good at sticking with characters, I have too many ideas… But Nei’s time as a character were arguably the best 3 months I’ve had in LotC. Thank you all who made Nei’s life enjoyable, even though I made him as a temp character, he stayed as a main. -Brazilianski PS: This post is pre-End of Atlas))

Sorry if I expressed myself wrongly, by the way. I wasn’t trying to attack you or anything, in-case I passed that impression. It was a mix of criticism and doubt, but seeing as how I trust you as a writer, just had some doubts about... well, allegiances, I see that has been cleared up. Cheers, man. Have a nice night/day. Timezones are weird.

These look like nature-freak orcs and sound an awful lot like druids in the ‘appreciation and preservation of the cycle of life’ Considering how you had your Shaman, Shagarath, be around druids, which in itself is a... odd action for someone who yelled at me after I asked them if I could make an orcish druid, I’d say that you haven’t been really connected to how the orcs are recently to just come out of the darkness and propose a clan that goes against the basic orcish principles: warfare (WARNATION of Krugmar), sacrifices to the spirits and all. I’m not saying it’s bad, it’s amazing writing as usual from you, but I think that, considering you were... technically whitewashed, it’s odd to me that you want to come and do your own thing. - Brazilianski.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MvX8IAg-OeKe_sSeHDTgmSDYeXCERk-qTu9AoFJFbng/edit HOUSE HIGHTOWER. (DOC EDITION) ----------- HOUSE HIGHTOWER Of Oldtown ------=----- (The rallied military might of Hightower) “War rages, my Lord.” Maester Yrreus told Leyton Hightower. Acknowledging it with a nod, the Lord stood up, in the chambers at the top of the High Tower. Looking outside the window, the Lord sighed. “Maester Yrreus… Rally the man. Prepare for the Tyrell call… The Hightowers go to war…” The maester nodded. “Anything else, my Lord?” “Summon the council…” ACTIONS The full might of 15,000 Hightower soldiers are rallied under the call of Leyton Hightower, under direct command of Ser Baelor Hightower. They await the Tyrell call in camps stationed outside Oldtown and surrounding villages. The council of Hightower is summoned, and Leyton starts studying new trade routes to increase the income of gold and wares. (MOD to see if they come out with anything) Ser Garth ‘Greysteel’ Hightower, Leyton’s second son, is sent to the Arbor, to contact House Redwyne on the behest of Lord Leyton for a possible alliance, which is to be concretized by the marriage of Lady Lynesse Hightower to Ser Hobber Redwyne. (MOD) Ser Humfrey Hightower, fourth son to Layton, is sent to the island of Greyshield, the seat of House Grimm, to offer the house vassaldom under House Hightower. (MOD)

House Banefort of the Banefort. -=- Lord Quenten had been held a hostage for a while now in Riverrun. Why of course, a Lord of the Westerlands would probably be valuable, negotiation wise, but Quenten had his own plans. Within his cell, he banged on the bars quietly, trying to get the attention of any Tully men. “Ey... Open up ‘ere, lads. Let me speak to ye lord. C’mon. Tell him I ‘ave an idea for a deal!” Depending on Lord Tully’s... Mercy or the like. Quenten sat there, hoping the Maester would take heed to the orders Lord Banefort had assigned him. Maester Rewis was a wise man, so Quenten fully trusts him. ACTIONS (EFFECTED BY MAESTER REWIS): - A letter of ransom is sent to Lord Tully for the Lord Banefort via a mounted courier as opposed to a raven [Mod and Tully. Mod for time of travel and stuff]. - House Banefort is left with explicit orders from Lord Quenten before he was taken hostage to NOT rally under any circumstances to the Lord Paramount’s call. (Since I’m a hostage, not much to do just yet)

House Name: House Banefort. Holdings: The Banefort and surrounding villages. Lord: Lord Quenten Banefort. Who do they bend the knee to?: House Lannister, although has a great grudge with the Lion. Religion: Faith of the Seven. Brief History (1-2 Paragraphs): Rumored to be descendants of the Hooded Man, one of the legendary beings in the Age of Heroes, House Banefort were once First Men kings, taking the title of ‘Hooded Kings’, the last Hooded King being brought down by Loreon I Lannister, which started a millennia-old grudge between Banefort and Lannister. Over the years, House Banefort has lost it’s might and power, although Quenten and the whole of House Banefort retains close knitted ties to their history, their heritage of the Hooded Man, having the image of the Hero in their sigil. Proud and stoic, House Banefort doesn’t willingly bend the knee to the Lannisters, more-so recognizing they are overpowered by them and accepting their submission, however, the Baneforts will not think twice if the opportunity arises... I’m guessing the FMs will instantly ban this account again, which I’m planning on using for an appeal, but here goes nothing. Hi! My name is OzYmandi, or, well, Brazilianski. “Oh no, here he goes again”, yes here I go again. Please, FMs, give this a shot before shooting this down. So, yes, I am banned. Both in game and Forum, which in itself is the same, but it’s been a whole 3 or 4 months of that. I think. I’m not sure. And it finally knocked in my head that I’ve been really what they call me here: toxic, detrimental, trouble-maker, cringy, everything. I’ve really grown, well, at least intellectually with my psychologist and... I figured that letting some things out, especially here (which, and it may be petty to admit, was a good part of my life for some good time) would do me some good. Firstly, I apologize. The lot of you are grown enough to not take my insults to heart, but, I have come across those who do take them to heart, and I feel like an ultimate **** rethinking and remembering the people I did in fact sadden or make their day worse. I wasn’t the best. I’m not the best. No one is. But I wasn’t actively trying to better it, which I always said I was, and... that wasn’t true. So to whoever took my insults to heart, I’m sorry. Secondly... And this is a long shot... Since... I was given chances. @Riftblade gave me a chance, and I let him down. Many people have given me chances to reintegrate myself back. NanMan taking me back in the Orc community, only for me to write a flaming, toxic and targetting post towards them (which ultimately got me banned) and various other people who where cool with me (especially people like FlemishSupremacy and most of the people in Adria who made me feel... good and that I somehow still belonged to LOTC when I played Albert Brussels), so... Give me another shot. I’m a work in progress, but... I don’t know, I’m just a lonely guy, I have my problems, and LoTC was somehow something that I used to escape from my problems... to sometimes create bigger ones. But as I’ve said, I’ve grown. And while most don’t think I belong to LotC or that I shouldn’t be allowed back, I’m more than prone to change that mindset, to show how I’ve gotten better. Thirdly and lastly... Well, I didn’t think of anything for a 3 things I gotta say, but I guess that if you didn’t close the tab the moment you saw the first lines and actually read through this... thanks! Really...
