**Upon your wanders about the jungle island of Ohlokhar, you find yourself face to face with a glorified, gold-edged parchment, bearing the official symbol that is the trident of the Kharajyr. Should you choose to read it, you would see it as follows:**

From this day forth, let it be known that by the Tlatlanni's will, a new governing system will be enacting control over the Kharajyr, be it for cultural, military or religious purposes. May all Kharajyr know that they are now subject to:

High Temple Authority.

The Temple of Metztli and those affiliated with the temple now hold control over the law of the island. The Military Aelkos and his Do' shall work alongside the temple to enact the will of Metztli. A priest of Metztli now serves to not only perform regular priest duties, but to enforce the temple's law.

Rejoice, for we shall return to our most holy roots. The temple wishes not to punish, but to guide. May we forever have peace under the guidance of those closest to the Goddess Metztli. But let it be known that the temple's word is absolute, and may not be questioned. To question the will of the temple is to question the will of the Goddess, and to question the Goddess is to perform an act of treason.

Those affiliated with groups that would seek to cause harm to the temple or to the Tlatlanni shall be hunted down and executed without sacrifice, for the unclean deserve an unclean death. But in the coming days those that would affiliate themselves with these groups may come to the temple seeking forgiveness, and your sins will be forgotten. The temple forgives, should you seek it.

Due to disturbing structures and altars to false-gods discovered hidden in dens, all dens will be searched in the coming days and the locks changed. If you are discovered to be in possession of one of these shrines, or to be hoarding materials from the empire, you shall be punished. Every lock shall have a spare key, given to the military Aelkos.

The new holy laws are as follows. Abide by them, or die by them:

- A Kharajyr may not bring harm to another Kharajyr unless decreed so by the Temple of Metztli.

- A Kharajyr may not take what does not belong to them.

- A Kharajyr may not lay with any but another Kharajyr.

- A Kharajyr may not abandon the empire and its people.

- A Kharajyr may not question acts of the Temple or the Tlatlanni.

- All Kharajyr must worship Metztli.

- A Kharajyr may not worship the Sun God, Absyyl.

- A Kharajyr may not consume alcohol.

- A Kharajyr may not attack non-Kharajyr unless provoked to.

- A Kharajyr must remain loyal to the Temple and to the Tlatlanni.

- A Kharajyr must be prepared to lay down their life to enact Metztli's will.

- A Kharajyr must report suspicious activity to the Temple.

- A Kharajyr must treat the Temple structure itself with absolute respect.

- A Kharajyr must recognise an Aelkos as a Kha' to be respected.

- A Kharajyr must listen to the Tlatlanni's word above all over's.

More laws can and may be added in the future.

Rejoice, for a new age approaches. Relish in the security and love that is the great Temple of Metztli.

**A second notice is pinned below the first**

The Kharajyr and previous Aelkos known as 'Zeriko' is hereby permanently banished from the isles of Ohlokhar. His title has been stripped and his word is rendered null, do not listen to this betrayer. All Kharajyr are hereby granted the power to execute Zeriko on sight should he return to our most holy lands. This penalty of death applies to all who would associate themselves with this betrayer. Report any sightings of Zeriko or Kha' that would commune with him directly to the Sage Natayshi.

Metztli be with you.

The Tlatlanni's paw marks the edict in a rich blue ink.
