A Druid's Shout Echoes Through The Forest...

"MOOOOOT!"

Callax's voice echoes throughout the forests of new Malinor and old.

As the Druids of the Order gather within the large, dying tree, he begins his long winded speech.

"Druids! I call this Moot to order to adress quite a few very important events that have happened in recent days.

What I wish to get accomplished today is the following: Catch everyone up on the information we have on the source of Malinor's corruption, make everyone aware and cautious of a brother we may have recently lost, and present the next Elder Druid."

He glances around, waiting everyone to take their seat. A stern and unhappy expression rests upon his face.

"A few Elven days ago, a small group of us was visited by an ent. This ent lead us on a long, but necessary, journey to the far south of Anthos. There we stumbled upon a cave and inside this cave, we met an Aegian Druid, Zeremdos. He was, appearantly, the leader of an ancient Circle of Druids called the Snow Druids. If you wish to know more of the Snow Druids, we'll talk about them during another, less urgent time.
After plenty of conversation with the Snow Druid, we made our point in why we believed we were brought to him. We explained the dying of Malinor's great forest and he understood. The Snow Druids had battled the same sort of corruption in the far past. Then, to us, the source of the dying forest was explained.
Somewhere beneath the forest grows a tree; one that has been turned evil. This tree is taking the life of the forest to give to itself, and in place of once life there is left corruption. If we find this tree, we, as an Order, can dispose of it and save the forest from sure destruction. However, this will be no easy task.

I've spoken to a lot of people about this, such as the Spirit of Nature, also known as Ernest Swampstone. After talking about an evil apparition that guards the tree, Ernest explained that only another powerful spirit could move it out of our way. He wishes to sacrifice himself so that we may save the forest. A valiant deed. As much grief as it may bring to ye, just remember, he is a soul bound to this plane without a way out and he may just be this forest's only savior.

We've not only got his support, but there are others who are helping our cause as well. Prince Khel and his clan, the Cleric Kyral, a Sariant, and I'm sure many others are in search for this tree. We should be thankful to have the support that we do have. Aspects bless them all.

Callax takes a few breaths, awaiting the first response.

Frosty stands after a moment, scratching his beard thoughtfully.

"Is there no way we could aid Ernest in this? Perhaps distract the apparition while he tries to rid us of it?"

Vierna plops down onto a chair "Well I've missed a lot apparently."

Briza takes her seat, she nods to Callax once before looking around the room, silent.

Leyun entered the moot somewhat late. She looked completely soaked and shivering as she took a seat and curled up in an attempt to warm herself up. "S-sorry for being late." She shivered.

Hosper follows druids from the Malinor refuge camp to meeting. Once there he leans on his staff casually listening to the conversation. He ponders for a moment before speaking.

"You will also have the aid of myself and I assume the rest of the Cleric order for light must destroy the darkness and purity restored to our lands. For darkness may only exist in the absence of light"

Hosper then takes a slight bow towards Callax and goes back to listening

Callax looks towards Frosty, he shrugs.

"I am unsure, brother. If we could aid Ernest, we would. The question of the possibility, however, should be asked to Ernest himself."

He then turns towards Hosper, a slight grin forming from his lips.

"I thank you, and the Cleric Order, as I do all others who seek to help us. Aspects bless ye."

Callax places his hands around his staff, returning the bow.

Cir'dian tilts his head, looking over the circle

"...My names Cir'dian."  he says, lightly scratching the back of his head in minor confusion.

"That said? While I am unsure how much of a mages place it is to help discuss these matters? I feel an opinion is just that. And it is in this moment you find yourselves with a decision between the sacrifice of one, and the death of many and possible the forest in its entirety. I've seen the corruption begin to spread to the outlying trees beyond the city of Leumalin. The decision should be obvious, and you've my aid if need be, Callax... Though perhaps it's a good idea to bring Saviticus into this as well, him being the hierophant. "

Cir'dian would then nod, beginning to play with his scarf in his boredom

"This tree festers, leaving the scent of of death...Can nothing be done to temporarily aid it?" he says.

Arial twitches painfully at the shout and, stumbling, she walks in, leaning heavily on her staff. "All of this shouting, please..."
Arial moves across the room to stand next to Dain. She continues to lean on her staff and pay attention, however her eyes occasionally shift to places around the room that do not seem exactly interesting to the normal eye and mind.
"I know a few spirits," she smiles a little, looking at the air around Callax instead of him. "And I know of one of the greatest alchemists... Perhaps they can help?"

Callax arches a brow toward's Cir'dian.

"Yes, the choice is obvious. Most of us, Druids, are already aware of the threat that this corruption possesses. Any Druid would give his or her life for nature, and Ernest is a valiant spirit for doing so. If there is another way to rid of the apparition, we'd definitely do just that.
If Saviticus was around, sure, he'd be a great addition to help us rid of this tree. His being of a Hierophant has nothing to do with the help he could provide. There are other Hierophants, such as myself, present this very moment. I've nae seen the Spirit Druid in ages, if he wishes to accompany us, that's great."

He pauses a moment, as if pondering over Cir'dian's last question.

"As far as I have been made aware, there is nothing that can be done to help the forest besides ridding of the tree that serves as the source of the corruption. Only then can we save the many lives in nature we set out to save."

"The information I give on the source and how we can rid of it is all I can give at this point in time. Shall there be further discussion on this topic? If not, we shall move on..."

Callax sighs, rolling his eyes as Arial enters.

"I will not force any spirit to risk their eternal bindings. If they wish to aid us, we'll have to speak to Ernest or perhaps the Snow Druid, Zeremdos of how affective their aid would be.
I see naught where a great alchemist comes into play here. If the individual wishes to aid in our search, I thank him or her. However, an alchemist's skills are not particularly needed."

Kyral would be accompanied by Elwen, weakened from her training as she simply states

"I will fight until my last breath, until I can no longer extend my hands to protect that I now hold dear.. Expect me to be there, I just hope the Dwarves agree to assist."

Kyral limps past after Callax responds to her, giving a simple nod as she walks off with Elwen

Meanwhile..

Syrila is still in a coma. She is simply left to rest, but when her ears hear the word "Moot" she responds back with a grumble

"Mooooooooot.."
