[Ongoing]Operation Anchor

For those of you who missed the meeting held on the 16th november 6pm EST, we are currently introducing a new way on how the ET operate.

 

As stated by other members, having a one-off character will do you no good. Therefore I shall be stationing teams in various nations and races to solidify their reputation, making it easier and more accessible to rp with instead of a insane man screaming the antags are coming.

 

Anchors are people who act as team leaders and generally the face of the ET in that particular location. They are given a team to assist them if needed, and their priority is to maintain a presence rping just that single character.

 

With this system, it is hoped that it'll be easier for the ET to make a impact on regular players, helping newer players adapt, and as well as giving fun to both vets and newbs alike. Having stationed these teams, I also expect a more accurate data to be gathered from each nation.

 

Do note, not all Anchor teams will operate the same way. The elves are generally non-conflict rp, whilst the humans and orcs do enjoy plenty of conflict rp. That is another reason why elves and orcs were chosen for the initial experiment. The contrast will allow us to see what kind of event is best suited for each group of players.

 

At the moment, as the effectiveness of this system is unknown, we shall target two groups. The prosperous elves and the dying orcs.

Would it  be wise for anchors to try to RPly have a quest hall built? Elaborate on the actual duties of the anchors. Do they seek to give out quests? Do they attach themselves to a storyline and hope players follow along? Are they guildmasters for adventuring guilds?
