While the townsfolk are gasping at the inn's vandalism, another cry goes out. Some go, some stay. What the cry was, as they find, was nothing. It was surely a cry, it would have been impossible to not be. No sensible halfling would admit to hearing things.  So they went down to Lighthouse Lane, to find those who obviously didn't hear the first cry. What they found? Nothing. Not a soul. All of the foljks from Lighthouse lane were missing.
