The Crystal Key And The Lethani

It glints in the center, the blue seaming against the dark stone halls. A being floats past, then nothing. Whispers inseminate the isle, tainting its' innocence into something darker, all about the edge of the wilds, the fringe..horrible things, inanities, cries for help. Screeching into the mind of those near, and they halt, the key turning. Insanity begging again.

Lethilin covers his ears, the Lethanie's eyes wide as he goes to the Key. Forcefully trying to twist it, to no avail. The  crystal key glints, and on its' pedestal it remains unmoving. He begins to cry out, "NO, NO WILL LET DO THIS! WILL NOT!" The being cries out, trying again and again, before succeeding. Once more, it stops. The Lethani begins to sigh deeply, another coming from the woodwork. "Issae it ovur, Leth?" The being nods. "He issss awaakaee.."

The doors to the isle shut, slamming close. Odd stone pillars rise from the deep, as if magic, and stay as guard to the ships of an enemy. The raft at the end of the isle falls, shattered. No entry to the isle, nor exit. The two Lethani begin to groan, and the isle goes silent. The horror having left the isle, and the two left to their own melancholy..They knew what was coming.

VORRUL WHO WILL SING TO THE SOUND OF KINGS
 
IN HER EYES ARE THE TRUTH
AND HERE SHE STANDS HER SONG FOREVER
HER MARK AS FALTER EVER-BLESSED
SIGGOURNBAD HAS WOVEN THE DREAMS.
 
COLD AND GREY OF BONE AND ASH
WEAVED BY KINGS AND WARLOCKS TOO
FALTERED AND TWISTED AND GROUND TO DUST
HIS NAME IS KRAAL OF THE RUST.
 
BUT ABOVE ALL THEIR LORD DOES SING
HIS NAME AKIN TO DEATH AND STING
LOST TO TIME YET HERE TO TELL
IKARUS WILL TWIST THE SPELLS."
