The Short Sea Freezes[!]

A loud boom echoes around Dwarven Lands as the Inner valley suddenly drops in temperature. An ancient tunnel had revealed itself, blowing away steam ships, dwarven made doors, and Dwarven stonework alike. In a matter of minutes, ice had covered the Vaerhaven docks. Slowly,the ice began to spread about, slowly covering the western portion of the docks, capsizing ships, and cracking the stone supporting the structure. Unbeknownst to the fleeing guards, Red and Black crystals had appeared over a destroyed watch tower, causing a deep chill to radiate around the area, freezing the rest of the docks. As the weight of the ice increases, and the power of the crystals is felt, a great crash is heard, as a section of the docks collapses and falls to the bottom of the Ocean.

 

As the Dwarven Guards ran, they began to slow down their breath coming quicker and in painful gasps. Soon, the group began leaving drips of blood, and frozen bodies behind them on their way to Kal’Ithrun. After they reached the City of Kal’Ithrun, the Guards were given a seat in the tavern so that they could write their report.

Addressed to Grand King Indago Stormhammer,

 

Grand King Indago Stormhammer and his Council of Lords, the prize naval base has come under attack from what we to believe to be Ondnarch. This time though, it was different, the power was much greater than it was before. He took over the docks in a matter of minutes, destroying our fleet, and severely damaging our dock. His power has also increased past just Kal’Azgoth, many of our guards dropped from his frost magic freezing their ever burning fires. Our head scholar believes that he has a major base of operations inside the very mountain that the Naval Base resides on. We plead and beg for you to send the entire Legion against this threat, he has taken a vital military operations base, as well as crippled our fleet.
