Instead, emote what we can see, and allow us to infer how the character is feeling or how he is thinking. Also, make sure you don't emote/speak even if someone has interrupted you, your character would either run out of time or been drowned out. Just because you put a - at the end of your character's speech doesn't give you the right to ignore everything until you finish typing all x-amount of lines.
