I was once a noble Steward, for a minute the Chancellor, but then I stopped getting into high ranks of Oren. I never was a troll really, no idea why people see me that way. And it is a shame that some Oren community members hate me for a roleplay character, they seem nice guys OOCly.

Wasn't calling you a troll, was more commending you on your involvement in Oren and lack of trolling, as it seems that many Oren officials are trolls these days.

Ohh, I misread it then!

 

I agree, but I believe Senda is doing a fine job on solving the issue, he shows great tactic and initiative. I think the difference between me and the other officials was, that I had true ambition in making a strong nation under my, both RP and OOC socialistic ideals. But they weren't welcome, so I guess I shouldn't try enforcing it, I believe that the problem really lies with the idea of already being at the top with those officials, I had it too. But so far Oren is improving, and from the stories I heard, the trolling too.

Hail friend sounds far more formal and more serious, thus the second option :)

I'm afraid I did, I was on a roof in New Abresi when I started loading my musket.. Then I got whispers from a friend to immidiatly stop and that Gunpowder wasn't allowed, I was almost going to roleplay that it exploded in my arms and I fell off the roof, but meh, muskets are "not in the right theme."

 

Do you have any roleplay tips you would like to share?

 

Multiple actually,

 

1. Always roleplay your characters weaknesses clearly.

This may seem obvious, but did you ever see someone who turned their eyes to the left when they lied? Or someone panicking and falling to the ground in tears when they are surrounded by guards? I only once in my 2/1 years of playing. Make those unique weaknesses appear! Like I let Christopher shake his arm heavily when he experiences the stress that someone disagrees with him, it gives more immersion, and makes you more recognizeable!

 

2. Explore new paths,

 

Many people claimed that they are bored, if you are, just try new things out! I once was bored, but then I started founding the whole branch of Therapy like Freud himself! It is epic to see a note in your notebook to turn into a full scale academy. You can come up with something too!

 

3. Don't let your friends control you.

 

This may seem weird, because its not what every person tells you every single time. But basicly said, you shouldn't always listen to your friends. If you want to stay in Oren and not in the Conclave, then do so! I had the same issue when I decided its best to leave Oren, but after a month a majority of those friends went with me, seeing how it was indeed better. If you think something is right, then go for it. Both RPly and OOCly. In some, or many cases, it may turn you to some adventurous RP!

 

4. You can make small changes have big impact.

 

Sometimes people claim that their character turns dire, but I say no! If your character has nothing to do, no point in living. Wouldn't he get, depression?. Wouldn't he then try to fight that depression by changing his life? Wouldn't he / she feel better if it succeeds? Characters don't have to be PK'd all the time, just be realistic about their life change, you are not Thor to have your destiny set in LotC. So change it in your way!
