She followed the sounds of people where the people of Anthos were once revived by the monks that watched over them all, and descended into the depths of the mine adjacent to it. Shards of a strange white crystal, she noted, were hung in the doorway which oddly enough made her feel at ease.. Creeping into the cave as others rushed by, Poppy entered the room with the rumored vault that she heard briefly about in the past.. She looked at the ornate door warily, her dog Balto trailing behind her, whining pitifully. She turned and shushed him, telling him to sit and stay as she stepped through the vault door into the cave beyond. She blinked, letting her eyes adjust to the fading darkness and kept going, her bare feet chilled against the newly exposed stone. As she moved forward she suddenly felt like she was moving, and she stepped through the door to the other side... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Poppy let out a sharp breath as sunlight suddenly hit her eyes from ahead of her in the tunnel and her moved her hand up to cover her scarred face. As her eyes adjusted to the now growing light, she slowly stepped forward. She could hear voices again, and they seemed wondrous and happy. She continued to walk forward until her toes touched the white stone of quarts that made up the structure she was standing in, and she gasped. Out beyond the small walkway... was a sunny and bright place. The air seemed different, with crystalline-like ice trees dotting the immediate landscape and the mountains around. As Poppy walked around and exited the building, she descended the white steps, her mouth agape as she looked at the floating emerald crystals in the air, the crystalline trees... the clear and crisp looking water... It was beautiful. No, it was paradise. The wind blew her curly hair into her face and she took a deep breath, it was uplifting and warm from the stationary sun set high in the sky. Looking down at the pools of water, Poppy lifted her dress-robes up and slowly stepped into the knee-high water. Giggling goofily at the cold fresh feeling, she let out a joyous laugh. This place felt so safe and so beautiful that she could barely contain herself, so she splashed around in the water a few moments before getting out, and raced down the path. Her bare feet thumping against the grass as she took in the new sights. She could see the wonder and happiness on other peoples faces, and she laughed all the more. Running and running was all she could do until she stopped in a field, plopped down and lay on her back, and smiled up at the never setting sun, basking in it's warmth and safety. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OOC OKAY! So this is my In Character reaction (or at least one of my characters) to the new realm, The Fringe! I hope you guys like it and I hope you enjoyed the music to go along. I hope you all will post your own characters reactions to when they first entered the Fringe! Even if you didn't RP the same reaction, please feel free to make one anyway! He walks down the pathway, his hands in his pockets and observes all the strange trees and mountains as they tower over him. As he continues to look around, Eren takes notice of the massive mushrooms that are scattered through out the landscape. He sits down for a moment, letting himself relax. He looks at the mushroom and the cherry red mountains behind it. A strong breeze hits him in the face and ruffles his hair gentle. Eren leans back, supporting himself with his arms and closes his eyes again, letting a smirk grow across his face as he feels relieved from all the problems that have haunted him before in the land of Anthos. As Rain begins to drop on his head, Eren gets up and walks away to find some place to shelter him from the precipitation. Sits down under the mushroom, breathing in the fresh moist air. Eren lies down on the ground falling asleep to the sound of rain splashing on the ground. Some of his family mourning, others just standing in silence. They had lost what they had built up from the ground, all their pride gone in one single blow. Ericus turns to his family, his teeth grit, the sound of his gloves tightening fills the air as he clenches his fist, raising it up into the air. He looks among them all, the young, the old and he adresses them all, "This day we have lost our pride and joy, Barrowhaven was taken and razed. The dwarves had no remorse and Oren has done nothing to help us reclaim it. Today we step out of the light and take a backseat, we recover and we recover what is ours. From this day we start a new life, we start a new, House Sarino." And so Ericus Sarino and the rest of his family set further down the road into Dwarven lands to find a new home. They come across a city, huge trees perching atop on a cliffside, two flags sit on the face of the cliff, a message to all outsiders and residents alike as to what the city stands for. The family enters the city and proceed to take a lift up to the top. He approaches a vault that has been heard of, he walks into the dark mines, wandering... He sees light come forth and enters it. His eyes jolt open as he sees the beautiful sight of the Fringe. He inhales the different air and feels the cool breeze hit his face and his beard.
