[Feedback] God Horses

I just got a super-horse. Spawned in after I RPly stole a protected horse. It was completely random.

So far , it's the best thing I've ever stolen. Don't debuff horses/remove god horses.

Actually it is a big deal.

Even when I had them, i refused to breed and give them to anyone, why? Cause imagine, you build up 8 block high walls. HUGE walls that are glitch proof. In comes 5 ARMORED ORCS on said horses.

See anything wrong with it yet?

Build bigger walls?

I don't think you're understanding how walls almost invariably ruin the scenery, especially for small towns or isolated guildhalls. Taller ones are only going to make it look more like landscar.

No. If you design the walls any way decent it'll look fine.

That's not really a very good mindset to have. A horse that can jump 10 blocks could leap over the walls of the High-Elf city, for example. A group of seven people with these horses from a nation could jump over the defenses of a city and slaughter the citizens in a raid.

How exactly is this okay? Even in the most minimal of scenarios it's a pretty cheese-y thing for a GM to be doing, in my own opinion.

And no, spawning horses for players has always been against the rules. I'd know myself, having both enforced these rules as a GM and having lost a good 8+ horses to crashes / random deaths etc etc. and been refused a reimbursement each time with a flat out refusal.

I can tell the staff as become pretty lighthearted regarding mechanic abuse. Listen to what Freya said. It is still abuse of mechanics, which, in my opinion, is a bannable offense.

You disappoint me. The attitude you are taking, and the way you continue to act like there's nothing wrong, and appear to promote the abuse of minecraft's mechanics, essentially saying "Doesn't matter if you think it's bad. It gives us an advantage, keep it" is blatantly disgusting.

To those who say "Build higher walls", must I point out how similar to useless politicians you sound?

"Oh, we know there's a huge pile of toxic waste outside the city. Don't worry, we'll just build a wall around it!"

You are essentially avoiding the problem, most likely because you have been involved in a way that makes you a target for punishment, or because you actually gain something from the situation, or perhaps you are just cynical. This kind of attitude should not be welcomed in this community, for it continues to maintain the selfish attitudes shown over and over again when someone points out a problem or situation within LotC, pretty much keeping the rotten apples in the basket.

Just because it can be done using Minecraft mechanics, doesn't mean it's a legitimate tactic to use on a role-playing server. It's the same reason we aren't supposed to block-jump, plant our own levers to open locked doors or click beds to warp into locked houses. It might be fun to exploit, but it's not realistic and goes against the spirit of the server. Horses don't jump ten blocks high, the equivalent to roughly thirty meters.
