Prologue

High King Algoda was a troubled soul. Wave after wave with bad news regarding the undead came to him.

He started to dream nightmares about a burning Alras, and generally slept very little due to the dreams.

He also dreamt about waking up in a strange land, that was more colourfull, and was crowded with wild animals.

He usually wandered around in these dreams for about 2-3 minutes before waking up in the middle of the night.

One day he was walking through Alras and inspecting his citizens work, and giving new orders to them.

He had a very bad headace and wanted to get work done quickly so he could get some rest in his manor, so he rushed and got done around midday.

While walking towards his home, he started to hear some noise.

He looked around but couldnt see where it came from, so he continued to walk. The noise became louder and louder, but it seemed to come from the back of his head and not around him, since people he met on the way home didnt seem to notice anything.

At the time when he got home, the noise was unbearable. Algoda couldnt make out any words or tones from the noise, it was just a loud buzz that was so high he though he was standing in a underground waterfall. He tried everything, from putting is head underwater, to bash his head against the wall.

Nothing seemed to work. He was just about to give up when the noise suddenly stopped! Algoda started to breathe heavily and enjoyed the silence.

Then, a strange voice started to talk to him.

"Hail Algoda, do you like the noise? I hope that you do, because you will be hearing that for the rest of your life!"

Algoda started to sweat and couldnt believe what he was hearing.

"Oh, afraid are we, huh? Im just kidding! Ha-ha-ha-ha!"

The laughter sounded so evil and crazed that algoda started to run and scream, out from his house and towards the forest outside the walls of the city. He had always been drawn to this forest, it felt like its an important place.

After some time, he rested on a rock. He thought he had somehow outrunned the voice, since he could no longer hear anything.

"You really believe that you can outrun me?"

Algoda suddenly calmed down, and started to think.

"Even from where im from, its not nice to not answer someone you know... And you dont want to make me angry"

Algoda thought it would be wisest to answer him, so he answered

"Who are you, and what do you want from me?"

"Oh nothing. Just your body."

Algoda thought he sounded so normal when he said it so he couldnt stop himself from chuckling.

"Haha really? Why is that then?"

He heard the crazed laughter again and he felt chills in his whole body.

"Well i dont think i need to explain to a mere mortal from a world i almost destroyed. I just think its good manners to let you know before i send you to the fade."

Algoda again began to feel the panic build up inside him.

"What is the fade?"

"Well, a place where your soul will have to spend the rest of eternity while i use up your body."

Algoda that was really afraid, almost screamed "Why me?"

"Because i chose you. Nothing more, nothing less. Now, do you have any last words?"

"just one question... Is your name Iblees?"

Algoda waited for several seconds, listening to the birds singing their afternoon songs. Then hebsuddenly felt like the world was spinning, and he fell to the ground. He smashed his head against a rock, at the same time he experienced the weirdest and most painfull feeling he had ever felt.

He felt like he was dragged out from his body. He tried to resist but in vain, the last things he heard before becoming uncouncious, was the voice saying:

"Im known under many names, but..."

Algoda didnt catch the last words before slipping uncouncious.

((this might have been better in the "Ideas and Lore" section, only because it's tough to RP with a concept that warrants OOC responses. But I will try!))

It seems you're facing some personal demons, good King. It's not surprising to hear that the mounting terror of the Undead is finally strangling the last breathes from your mind, especially considering that Alras, as it's now called, came so very close to destruction.

Hopefully, the cradle of the forest will sooth your ills, but it sounds as though your trouble is more tangible than idle thoughts getting the better of you.
