He was out of the tavern in a split second. Dropping behind him a drawing that represented all his source of troubles. Stuck between the parent who had raised him but rarely been there for him, and the Uncle who he had grown very attached to over the span of time where his father had absences. Although to many the choice would be simple, why not love both, it wasn't that simple to the young hobbits mind. For he felt there could be only one father-figure in his life and his tiny mind was hard at work on his moral dilemma. Neither could be his best adult friend, he already had Posco. He had begun to accept the fact that his father may never come back, as he had with his past absences but then as he popped the question to his Uncle, his father returned... all this still rushed through his mind as he plummeted down the steep hillside into Bigmouth Basin. As he plummeted down and slammed from tree to bush to raccoon, not only did his thoughts spiral out of control, but so did his consciousness...

The small drawing sat on the floor of the tavern, still not picked up.  The back read,

 

 My New Dad ~ My Old Pa
