If someone were to stop by a poster it would read,* Common sense By John Choice Let me start out by saying that these words are my opinions. Not things that I am trying to force on you as fact. You may believe or not believe them. I only wish to tell you what I think. There have been many times in these lands where I think wrong has been done. Let me start with the main one. Killing. From things such as killing a human that is too tall, to killing in the name of whatever it may be someone is killing for. I believe that killing or even harming someone should only be done if absolutely necessary, and only if the person has done something in their power to wrong you to a high extent. This goes back to the man that was too tall. Is the man to be called an abomination and killed just because of something he cannot control and could never control? If that man had a family and they were 'normal', are they to be killed as well because of the man? The same thing goes for someone who is deemed different in a bad way. I mean different by someone having something physically or even mentally different about them and it being viewed as wrong. In my opinion, the common belief of what is wrong is what it is, common, or in other words what most people believe. If all of the sudden having blond hair was outlawed and punishable by death, and you have blond hair. Would you think it is fair for them to kill you? I mean it was alright yesterday, why not today? The same thing goes for racial wars. If the humans were hypothetically suddenly having a war with all elves today and not yesterday, anyone with pointy ears or elvish looks would be killed by humans, and vice verse. Why should they die? “Well because they are an elf/human of course. Why else?' some might say. You may also say, well what if the elves or humans did something wrong to cause a racial war. I would say, If every single elf/human did something wrong enough in that very day to cause you to want to kill them all other than having the physical features of their race, then maybe that would be a good enough reason for a racial war. Part of what I'm trying to say is that one person's actions don't count as another's. I hate to do this, but I am going to bring religion into this. If God told you to jump off a bridge to your death, would you do it? Most people would say yes and I wouldn't blame you for it. But, now ask yourself the following. If person claiming to be carrying the word from God asking you to jump off a bridge to your death, would you then do it? I would certainly hope not, at least not with careful consideration of if the person actually is carrying word from God. Now belief, belief is a tricky thing, yet very simple. What do you believe in? Do you believe in it or not? Well I'm certainly not going to tell you what or what not to believe in. I'm simply asking that you think what you believe in through and not believe it just because someone said to. And with this, I end this poster. Again, I do not want to force any beliefs on you. We've no need o' this nonsense and a man too weak to follow Imperial standin' is not fit to live." The men nod, going about taking down the various postings found within Imperial lands.
