Introduction

Thats right, Vekaro is still going strong and here is the weekly report. Its been another interesting week in Vekaro with a lot of things changing, House Carrion is finding new placements for members of the town so that we can make the town run smoother. If you have any questions about the City or the administration talk to one of the people mentioned above.

 

Elections for a new Maer

This week we posted a thread regarding the election of the Maer in Vekaro, if you want to vote for somebody to become the the Maer of Vekaro, feel free to post in the topic provided below.

The maer title is a very good one for those wishing to exhibit their talents in stewarding and general organization of a settlement. This is a good chance for you to prove your skills!

The new stewardship system

We have noticed the complaints about lack of full time zone coverage and as most if not all of the Vekaro administration live in a GMT timezone its no wonder this is an issue.

To remedy the situation we have introduced a hierarchy system for the stewards. The Crows-Steward would work closely with the Maer and Lord and hold several minor stewards called Foot Stewards that can grant people housing, collect tithes and can address any concerns that the people of Vekaro might have when the GMT players are offline.

The new Levy master

Well folks, Seannie is gone, due to his inactivity in his role, I decided to replace him with somebody far more better in that position, and we have decided to offer the position to another, that person is no other than Corbett VanCleef, a friend to house Carrion and a loyal subject. I wish him the very best of luck as do the people of Vekaro!

 

Proposed Tourney

Yes thats right, if you have noticed the tourney grounds being built on House Carrions newly claimed land then you can guess what's coming. Nothing is official yet but there will be notification about the grand Vekaro tournament! discussions concerning a feast are still ongoing. Expect some very expensive rewards! Traditional Raevir food and drinks, and entertainment!

 

Change of leadership within Vekaro

Well folks, the run was good but unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, after bringing Vekaro from the brink i’ve decided to hand it over to somebody else, of course. My character will still be lord of Vekaro, he’ll just have a regent instead, to those who are asking “But why?” Well, recently I just haven’t really found much time to play LOTC or minecraft, what Vekaro needs is an active leader, not a semi-active one. So, expect a thread to be posted in the next few days regarding the regency! And I wish the regent the very best of luck with Vekaro up until I can find time to manage it once again.

Additional Stewards!

This week we introduced two new stewards to our city, both Triston Rahl, and Robert Greenwyne, this was done purely due to the fact we had no stewards over and EST timezone, which made selling houses tricky to those across the pond, (sorry folks!) hopefully with the additional stewards, a change of leadership Vekaro will flourish, I wish both of them the best of luck with their positions, and hope they're as active on their characters as they should be! Good luck to the pair of you and don't let me down!

 

Finally

With the Maer elections soon to be underway Vekaro will see some drastic changes in the future, some of the issues we are currently dealing with are the random monster attacks throughout the city, construction of more houses as Vekaro is overcrowded and hiring people of certain professions to work at locations around the city, (lumber mill, mill etc.) but thats about everything, look out for next weeks Vekaro report!
