I went about finding some old Aegis pictures to remind us of that brilliant place, full of trolling, light rp, poor lore, and by far the single best time we ever had on Lord of the Craft.

Probably the worst thing about Aegis was the lack of care to the rules, and Availer. But honestly it didn't matter, despite the Ascended and Undead getting mad at each other and Haven getting world edited out by some certain individuals. I don't believe we can ever have the same friendly environment, but it's still fun to look back at it all, yeah?

I think Aegis was where the community was at it's best, and it was everyone's (Everyone who's old now to the server) first experience. Everyone remembers their first experience

 

Structurally, Asulon was the best map, as it had a way to join all nations together in the middle, and everyone got to RP with just about everyone

 

I won't say anything about maps & community after that...

The magic is gone these days. I never played in Aegis, but I remember some of this stuff in mid Asulon, when I first hopped on. None of this chill attitude is left anywhere.
