Definitions

 

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

 

What is roleplaying?: -  When a player immerses themselves into a 'role' and acts as that character who in turn interacts with others. Usually these characters have mind sets that the player follows, the role is not arbitrary the character has his own beliefs and personality.

 

What’s metagaming?: - It is when you use and outside ooc source to find information, and using that information icly when your character shouldn't know it.

 

What’s powergaming?: - When you emote something that is impossible to do, usually it makes it so that the other play can not resist with their own emote. Example: Bob slaps Bill.

The proper way to emote would be like this, *Bob attempts to slap Bill.

 

In-Character Information

 

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

What’s your character called?: -  Willem Fisher

 

What race are they? (and sub-race if applicable): -  Human/Northern to be exact.

 

What gender are they?: -  Male.

 

How old are they?: -  20

 

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): -             Willem is a peasant like his father and his father before him. Willem's older teen years were spent in Vekaro where his father worked as a fisherman. Willem's father had a mental illness that plagued him as he got older. The disease drove him mad and made him an abusive father. Willem often took solace in the Creator who he prayed to often for protection and mercy. One day when Willem was 18 him mother caught a disease and she was dying. At her death bed Willem told her he was leaving to escape his father's cruel wrath, with his mother's blessing he packed his bags and ran away.

                   It was only a couple of days after he had run away that he had run out of food and money, Willem had decided to go searching for a job. The easiest and most obvious choice was the military because they would most likely take any willing soul. After he had signed up for the Imperial Army he had been put through training, in the city of Kaldonia, with the sword and crossbow. He found it hard to learn because most of his life he served lords as a peasant working the fields and helping his father gut fish. Eventually he learned the way of the sword, and became proficient in it. Willem still struggled with the crossbow and is still trying to perfect his skills to this very day. Later on he decided that the life of following orders wasn't for him and he set out into the world to be a sellsword! 

 

What are they like? (personality): -  Willem is greedy, he would sell you his own mother at the right price. He has a honeyed tongue he can sweet talk and use his natural kindness to make allies.  Willem believes if he didn't earn it then it isn't worth having, he works hard in what he does even if it may be unchivalrous and violent. He has a terrible problem with drinking, he drinks past his limit and always gets drunk when he is in the local pub.

 

What are their ambitions?: - Willem lived most of his life as a peasant he hasn't had the easy life. His dream is to obtain that life through hard labour, and once he achieves this life of ease he will die to keep hold of it in his family.

 

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Willem is pretty good at the art of the sword, and has some talent with a crossbow. His kind and gregarious manner earns him many allies and companions. Because he is greedy he will sell his sword which can get him in trouble with his old masters, and he also drinks too much which is bad for his health and could get him in bar fights.

 

Give us a description of how they look?: - Willem's only indication of being a peasant is his garb and is terrible hygiene, he has handsome blond hair and green eyes, and a thin graceful body. His teeth are rotted and yellow and he usually smells of BO and feces.
