Through vigorous fighting had Hobs Gullyworth began to prove his mettle in combat, charging in to the front lines when none others dared to and declaring a fight that would never end in his mind. But he was lonely, and it had been a year since the Sallied Sailormen were seen in the Fringe. They had no bodies of water nor a place to congregate, they were lost boats and sea that belonged to no fleet.

And through the tirade and blood-lust of battle he drew high a flag that didn’t belong to Chivay, Horen, or Carrion. It had belonged to the concept of a free people in service to a universally loved commodity, forever in bound to service to it and the Empire of Man. One who could look on to this ordeal would think it strange, he had fought with such ferocity that the banner seemed to strike hope.

It did not demand, but it beckoned. A banner of old that would strike fear into someone’s heart or alert a presence of a mischievous force. But for now, it stood as a calling to those who once belonged to it. Enticing those who serve under a golden coin in their hand and a cutlass on their hips. Regardless of the lack of water, that same flag beckoned those who called themselves seamen or privateers to come back under one flag.

“Through blood we unite.”
