Death Of Gerard Thom

11th of The Grand Harvest, 1461

 

 

A regular day in Vekaro had passed, the Grand Kingdom of Urguan had finished conducting a raid against Vekaro and Gerard fought side-by side with his brothers to defend the land of the Empire. After the raid, Gerard went to aid the wounded and pray for the fallen, as his duty was. As the day passed by, he talked to his brothers-in-arms and aided in the construction of the wall, but when laying a stone, he started coughing. The men around him glanced at Gerard, as his coughing was somewhat agonizing, after a short moment his head started hurting, yet he continued working.

 

When grabbing another stone to lay down on the wall, he loses his strength in the legs and falls to his knees, dropping the heavy stone onto the muddy floor. His brothers aid him up again, but he cannot stay on his feet. He started having nausea due to the pain and started vomiting, Gerard's skin was pale, he was very weak. His brothers realized he was very ill and they allowed their selfishness to go over all that was a virtue in a man.

 

After hours of agonizing pain, on the 12th of The Grand Harvest, 1461,  Gerard Thom, a monk that aided the wounded and sick in battle passed away to join Godani and rest for all eternity.
