Haelun'or Feedback

I myself am quite happy with the current setup, save for my one concern that others have voiced, and that's the turning away of other races. Not letting non-elves live with us makes good RP sense, and most of the time I don't mind it, but there will occasionally come along a good RPer playing a human, or Adunian, or half-elf, who I would really like to keep around and RP with on a consistent basis, but there's no where to put them. I know we'll be having a communal district, but will it allow for housing for a few non-elven guests? Or perhaps we could build a fourth district after we arrive in 4.0 as a place to put all the non-elves who don't seem to fit in with their own racial groups.

I was thinking a 'half breed' slum district would be cool in 4.0, but like... I really don't think a lot of people would RP there. It wouldn't make sense for people to voluntarily go to the oppressors. But I could stills see people RPing in it, because they want to be around all the other elves.

I don't have a problem with our current set up either.

My only suggestion is just open up the districts between the three races. To invite the wood elves and dark elves to your back yard and then tell them they can't enter your house because they're wood elves and dark elves is illogical. I've been blocked from entering Tahn'siol because solely because I am a wood elf before.

Now I won't dispute the fact that high elves are within their rights to ICly bar anyone from entry, but for the sake of RP don't segregate elves to their districts. Unless you have specific reason to not let a wood or dark elf into Tahn'siol, (i.e they being a trouble maker or something), let them in to hang out if RP in the other districts is sparse.

Seeing this thread, I could only imagine Supremacy sitting or standing, behind his computer and giving off a... Well I will let the gif show you;

Though in all seriousness, I will give you some feedback as member of the city. Though my opinion may seem very based from Ker'lomi, which is because I only live here and being one of the creators of the district. I mean, after making the wall we were so happy and I claim to be the person to place the last block!

Anyway, onto my feedback.

I believe that you have a good head on your shoulders when it comes to leading, you kicked the Ker out only for us to establish a working group which has only prospered since and I thank you for that. The Ame, I cannot speak much about, but what I see is a working community which loves everyone's company. The Aheral, being very racist is a fun thing to RP out! And I will say that no Aheral is OOCly telling a new Aheral to be racist, no, they are being taught through RP! So let RP be RP.

Now, I've written this a little tipsy and I have probably did a massive;

To my respect for some people, but hey I am having fun.

I love the role play around Haelun'or, I love everything about the place and don't see anything that should be improved upon. I mean we all have access to eachother's districts... So yeah!

And now it is time for me to sit back and read more threads, whilst giggling to myself like a goon.

4.0 has bird covered.

Pretty annoying every time I see screenshots of someone in your city, it's plagued with OOC asking how they got in. Obviously if they had a legitimate way in they wouldn't show a high elf, because they would fix it right away. To fix this? Simply get them to show a non-affiliated GM how they got in.

You misunderstand me Supremacy. What I meant was the fact that it is difficult for elves to pass through districts. You enforce that and you hunt impures within those districts. It is in relation to this post, I think.

Forbidding a dark elf to have a home in the wood elf district is fine, but you should not bar their entry, or discourage other high elves from roleplaying with the rest of the elven populace.

I wouldn't ask for something as silly as a 'Impure district', but veiled under the guise of a 'Trading district', where this zone can be open to outsiders to walk in freely, and a small melting pot area like a market place. All subraces maintain their uniqueness, and new players can experience the elven culture before being fully integrated in their respective district.

Basically something like this, your own districts in the surrounding or whatever, and then a place for all races to enter freely(The trade district/General district). A few taverns to not permanently house people, but to act as a transition point. Maybe one or two exceptional guests can stay there indefinitely? I dont know. High elves can still act superior within their own walls, but have a excuse to rp with others outside those walls. Same can be said for the other 2 elven subraces.

Anyways these are gameplay designs. I have no knowledge on how rp will progress, but this is what I would like to see.
