You must be saying that there's some sort of confusion. Why is that spoiler blank, you might be asking. Well, to be honest, there is no proper way to rp a Halfling at all. Halflings are a versatile, and neutral race meaning you can be whatever, wherever ( except try to live in Ivybend for me (: ) You'll probably never see a mercenary or evil villain as a Halfling, but that doesn't mean there is never going to be one. Perhaps you've always wanted to be a tinkerer, or a farmer, or even model Billy Bob in some way, next time you make a character, just consider making a Halfling!

There will probably be many evil or war-like Hobbits, but that doesn't mean they should be.

Not to hate, and I understand your point that there is no single way to play a hobbit, there is a sort of rundown on how to be within the race's culture as it was originally intended. It's just that the line between unique Hobbit and Improper Hobbit is not clear cut....

EDIT: To clarify, let me give an example. Recently there was a Hobbit (who's name I will not share) who was only a Hobbit in name. He wore shoes, did not live in a burrow, brandeshed armor and swords, spoke without an accent (although that's not required), he didn't smoke, and he didn't worship the Pumpkin (Well I never-!) and yet he called himself a Hobbit! Such people are not Hobbits, they are simply really short humans.

I think there's the same problem with Whitewash Orcs, which is why I think I made it clear to read all the guides and stuff and keep an open mind about what your hobbit should be. There's the stigma that we're all farmers and boring rp. I remember there used to be a Hobbit in the Teutons that did the same thing. We're not gonna get rid of these people no matter what. But, we can encourage them to read lore and make some sort of character, maybe reach out for help with all of the guides we have (I've made like 2, heff has made some, cmack made one too)

Yes, I too remember that guy. And yes, you raise a very valid point that we're not all the same, it's simply that we look that way! I just want it to be clear the difference between Joe the Hobbit and Bob the Hobbit (which is fine), and the difference between Joe and Death-Lord the Hobbit.

There was a Halfling(stop saying Hobbit damnit) Knight Commander of Oren back in Aegis. And there was a Halfling Oren Guard Lieutenant. The Knight Commander one lead a Halfling walk through Krugmar and they killed tons of Orcs in revenge for Orcs eating their fellow Halflings.

Halflings were a lot cooler back in the day.
