How did you hear about us?: -

 

I am a hardcore roleplayer outside of Minecraft and have been for years. I took interest in the game as it had a sandbox concept and was very open to creativity. I researched  to see if there were any roleplayers on this platform and then Google led me to you!

 

What do you think the server will be like? – A Hardcore Roleplaying Server.     

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: -  Yes.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: - 

 

 I agree with the rule that states destruction of a player’s creation is not allowed without sufficient roleplay reasoning because it gives some room for interesting roleplay while  mostly protecting a player’s hard work.

 

Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to roleplay as a villain?:- Yes.

Definitions

 

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

 

What is roleplaying?: - 

 

Roleplaying is the act of assuming the role of a character that you created or is already there for you and acting as they would – not as you would. Their interactions are without knowledge from the ‘real world’ and can only come from the fantasy environment created for them.

 

What’s metagaming?: - 

 

Metagaming is the act of using knowledge your character would have no way of knowing to their benefit. For example if in World of Warcraft I am told over skype where the enemy is hiding, that would be metagaming [in a roleplay server] because I am using my outside knowledge to the benefit of my character to ‘win’.

 

What’s powergaming?: - 

 

Powergaming is basically god-mode where you dodge every single attack, or have the most powerful weapon in the universe and therefore you win. Furthermore, powergaming can also be not giving another player the time to react to your action. For example: Damasus jumps out and stabs Gary, killing Gary. Not giving a player ample time to react isn't acceptable in roleplay.

The Qualities, Standards, and Ideals of a Mali’aheral, by Violith Visaj; Page 491 Paragraph 2:

 

Let us delve further into the physical section of pure Mali’aheral qualities. Pure Mali’aheral are known to have hair tones that embrace the luster of gold, don the polished look of silver, or adopt the simplistic yet classic color white. Individuals that claim to be pure, yet do not portray any of those tones, are simply not Mali’aheral. As for dying one’s hair –

                Damasus closed the book his mother wrote. His family’s small trade boat had docked according to the bell that rung loudly up on the deck. The gentle rocking motion of the vessel was familiar to him as he went above deck. There he saw his parents paying a hooded man in vast amounts for an ancient artifact he had offered them. Both of his pure High Elven parents were collectors of artifacts and archaeologists. They studied the past to explain various Anthosian and Fringe mysteries, and quite simply to feed their curiosity. To make their living and be able to study such artifacts they produced and traded various chocolates, spices, and valuables with the lesser races. While his parents worked endlessly to provide for themselves and their studies, Damasus was expected to prepare for life in the High Elven city – Tahn’siol.

                

           He returned below deck seeing as he was not needed in the obtaining of the artifact. There he simply continued the last of his studies for his parents were ready to let him on his own. Over a period of fifty years since his birth, Damasus was tasked with mastering mathematics, intermediate biology, basic Elven, High Elven ideals and concepts, law and order, creative writing, official documentation, and the harp. Violith and Syladris Visaj claimed that these topics would ready him for civilized and settled down Mali’aheral society, since Damasus had hardly ever been to the city.

 

         Once again Damasus opened the book his mother wrote, though this time he skipped ahead to the most important section: The Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya.

 

The Qualities, Standards, and Ideals of a Mali’aheral, by Violith Visaj; Page 603 Paragraph 1:

 

The most crucial Ideal to all true and pure Mali’aheral is the Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, which translates to Progress and Health in the common tongue. Progress can be both the achievement of greater purity as a race, and the individual achievement of a Mali’aheral in their profession or study. On the other hand, Health truly means the safeguarding of all Mali’aheral purity, which can be achieved by following simple laws and policing those around you.

 

This section of the book inspired Damasus. It made him determined to one day become a productive member of the city and be well respected and renowned. Little did he know it would come sooner than expected for his parents were no longer on the boat… When Damasus emerged from the area below deck, Violith and Syladris Visaj were missing, along with their artifact and the hooded figure that offered it to them.

 

Damasus did search for them, but to no avail. He did not grieve – grieving could not bring them back and therefore it was unnecessary however tempting the emotion might be. Instead, Damasus made his way for the civilization of the Mali’aheral with what resources he had left from the boat.   

 

 

What are they like? (personality): - 

 

Damasus is a determined and scholarly person though not timid or quiet. He is rather outgoing and can speak easily for his parents were traders on the side and he was able to pick that skill up from them. Another trait that Damasus developed over the years is his love for gossip and whispers. That he picked up from the dock-boys at the ports his family traveled to for trading. 

 

What are their ambitions?: - 

·         To join High Elven Society

·         To become a productive member of that Society

 

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - 

 

Skills:

·         A fairly quick learner

·         Conversational

·         Can apply a good deal of background knowledge from his studies to various real life situations.

 

Weaknesses:

·         No experience in combat

 

 

Give us a description of how they look?: -

               

Damasus has a typical Mali’aheral appearance, with gold in his hair and sapphire in his eyes. He is about 1.8 meters tall [5’11”] and wears a blue coat on top of a white silk shirt. On his feet are high black boots with grey pants tucked into them. This appearance gives off an ‘admiral-scholar’ feel.
