Great Houses are recognized by the Empire to be of the highest standard of prestige and honor, leading the House to worldwide renown.

House Carrion has earned its place in the Great Houses for liberating the Human nations against the tyrannical and illegitimate rule of the Kingdom of Urguan, and establishing a Second Empire that revived the power of Mankind.

Noble Houses are the Houses recognized as full nobility and have the privilege of Noble Right, allowing them a just trial and the right to own and govern land with hereditary titles in accordance with the laws of the Imperium Tertius . Loyal to the Empire and certainly prestigious, the Noble Houses are highly reputable and respectable. Noble Houses have the opportunity to own land and hold a position in the Privy Council.

House Horen of Abresi has earned its place in the Noble Houses for carrying on the legacy of House Horen as a splinter branch of the original House Horen of Arethor. Noted figures among House Horen of Abresi include Albrecht Horen, whose dedication to the Exercitus Imperium has helped to further the efficiency and command of the Exercitus as a whole.

House Stafyr has earned its place in the Noble Houses for being a House eternally loyal to the true crown, and always recognizing the most righteous and honorable claim. A humble House, but certainly a great one, House Stafyr has secured its place in the higher echelons of nobility.

House de Savoie has earned its place in the Noble Houses for being an ambitious but level-headed House with a structured and competent leadership. Descended from House Ashford, House de Savoie has served both the Kingdom of Kaedrin and the Imperium Tertius with a great degree of effectiveness.

Notable figures among House de Savoie include Olivier de Savoie, who serves as the Imperial Viceroy for the Imperium Tertius.

House Winter has earned its place in the Noble Houses for assisting in the many administrative matters of the new Imperium Tertius, and carrying on a Human legacy in the form of the now defunct Kingdom of Herendul. Notable figures among House Winter include Edward Winter, who serves as the Imperial Chamberlain for the Imperium Tertius.

House Silverblade has earned its place in the Noble Houses for a number of reasons: Firstly, the House is as old as the Empire itself, and has bled and feasted through every year of Imperial Dominion. Secondly, a House entrusted with the management and leadership of the Holy Order of the Red Dragon is a House that must be recognized as dedicated and loyal. Its most noted figure among the Empire is Uthor Silverblade, who continued the legacy of the Red Dragon even in the First Empire’s last days.

House Brunswick has earned its place in the Noble Houses for being a loyal and capable servant to the Imperial Crown. First serving in the Kingdom of Kaedrin, House Brunswick has a long history of service in the Order of the White Rose and understands the duties and honors that come with being a Noble House.

House Briarwood has earned its place in the Noble Houses for continuing the legacy and culture of the Kingdom of Kaedrin. House Briarwood is the only true Kaedreni House, with the exception of House Chivay, to carry on Kaedreni values and traditions.

House Blackwell has earned its place in the Noble Houses for proving itself as a capable House with an unwavering amount of dedication to their duties. Descended from men of military rank, House Blackwell is a very proficient House that is newly born yet nonetheless deserving of its status.

House de Sarkozy has earned its place in the Noble Houses for providing a cunning and intelligent level of advice and guidance to the Kingdom of Kaedrin, and also for ensuring that Human traditions and values are kept among what lands they govern.

House Kovachev has earned its place in the Noble Houses for being a true and confident House under the vassalage of House Carrion. House Kovachev's ability to be in-tune with the denizens it governs has granted their spot among the nobility of the Imperium Tertius.

House Hightower of Kaldonia has earned its place in the Noble Houses for breaking away from the poisoned yoke of House Hightower of Solace, whose decadent and deviant House had been a stain on the nobility of the First Empire. Its Patriarch, Lord Rowan, has pledged his loyalty to the Imperium Tertius and has contributed a great deal of resources and personal time into the Exercitus Imperium.

House Deezius has earned its place in the Noble Houses for being a House of immense influence and power throughout the world. Descended from men of incredible renown, House Deezius once held control of seventeen kingdoms in Aeldin, and controlled a hegemony of republics and city-states under its proud name.

House Rovin has earned its place in the Noble Houses for being a loyal and capable House with a strong military background. Its former Patriarch, Jack Rovin, had created the Successor Order of the Order of Saint Lucien, and has been a well-rounded and effective aid to the Imperium Tertius.

House Frost has earned its place in the Noble Houses for being a strong-willed House with good Human values instilled and maintained. One of the newer Houses of the Empire, House Frost has proved its effectiveness in the Imperium Tertius and has been justly rewarded.

House Romstun has earned its place in the Noble Houses for outstanding service and military prowess during the Concordat-Bloc war, claiming countless Dwarven heads and establishing the colloquial title of the Doggers of Romstun.*

Masterly Houses are Houses of the Empire that are well on their way to becoming a Noble House. They have proved their loyalty and dedication to the Imperium Tertius and have provided a number of services in support of the Empire, but do not possess the prestige, manpower, or influence to reach the level of Nobility. Masterly Houses have the opportunity to serve on the Privy Council.

House Visconti has earned its place among the Masterly Houses for the unequivocal dedication of Theodosius Visconti, the former Vicar Steward of the Imperium. His efforts in stewardship had helped organize and maintain the Fringe capital of Kaldonia. House Visconti is also accredited with helping to form the light cavalry wing of the Exercitus Imperium.

House Pascal has earned its place among the Masterly Houses for serving as a quiet and calm House of acceptable achievements throughout its existence. It has proved itself as capable and willing, and its history spans back to the days of early Anthos, a claim most Masterly Houses cannot make.

House de Sola has earned its place among the Masterly Houses for serving as the primary House in which the Exercitus Imperium revolves around. A House well in-tune with the culture of Lunde and Kaedrin, House de Sola has shown a ruthless efficiency to whatever duties they are assigned. Its most notable figure is Vibius de Sola, the Imperial Marshal of the Imperium Tertius.

House Lane has earned its place among the Masterly Houses for its long-winded dedication to the administration of not only the Imperium Tertius, but the several Human nations that preceded it. Its Patriarch, Joseph Lane, is its most notable figure, whose extensive knowledge of stewardship and administration has truly earned his position as the Imperial Steward.

Gentry Houses are Houses of the Empire whose family member has been granted a Knighthood for their combat proficiency and honor. Gentry Houses are not hereditary and the House’s status falls when the Knight loses his title (by death or otherwise).

Recognized Houses are Houses of the Empire that have been officially recognized by the Imperium Tertius for their exemplary service as a Common House. They are a degree higher than a Common House and can thus be more easily noticeable among the many Houses of the Empire.

House Valois has earned its place among the Recognized Houses for being a proud continuation of the Auvergnian culture, providing wonderful wines and other luxuries to the Imperium Tertius.

House Thersist has earned its place among the Recognized Houses for a truly unwavering loyalty to House Chivay and the Imperium Tertius. House Thersist had been granted a manor and a small amount of land in the city of Kaldonia on behalf of the Empire for their extended service and loyalty.

House Geminine has earned its place among the Recognized Houses for descending from a once Noble House.

House Bedevere has earned its place among the Recognized Houses for serving the First Empire under the Kingdom of Salvus, and proving to be ample administrators of the Salvian State.

Common Houses are Houses that have no Imperial recognition and are merely family Houses under an established House Patriarch. ((In order to qualify to be a Common House, you must have at least four members in your dynasty and some form of forum thread about the House.))

[[House Peerage does not reflect in-game feudal titles, but acts like more of social and recognized status of the House as a whole and not the landholding title of a person or particular house.]]
