Enchanting Profession System?

So I've been playing around with the professions for a little bit (to be honest nothing really interests me too much in it as my character isn't a farmer or a blacksmith so aiming to train those skills is not really on my list of stuff to do) and I was just wondering how you get into the enchanting profession. 

 

From what I've been told by numerous sources, Enchanting is linked to the Soon™ to be magic plugin release. However other sources have told me that the enchanting profession /is/ in the game and is otherwise a secret as of now as to how you do it. 

 

So my question is more of an official confirmation on what is true and what isn't really, is it in the game or is it related to the magic plugin and not released as of yet?

 

Also is there any info on how the enchanting system works that I could look up at all? Like what materials you need, what enchants you can create, what items you can put them on etc... 

 

It would be very much appreciated if these questions could be answered thankyou.

From what I know Blunder, it is IG, but access to it is unavailable do to the items needed for it being unable to be crafted ATM.

We have enchanting as a mechanical profession separate from magic (and the magic plugin). This allows us to spread the really poweful stuff out somewhat also gives dwarves a shot at it even if they refuse using the magic plugin (they are currently not barred from using magic in Lore thus not in Mechanics, but they choose to not learn magic).

It's exactly how it is in Anthos. You make glyphs and a glyph=an enchant. I have a list of some of them if you woul like them.

 

The difference is in Thales instead of only being able to make them out of emeralds and diamond, you can make them out of iron, lapis, gold, diamond, and emeralds (maybe missed one or two).

 

I know this from I think a help menu on enchanting I read in game.

 

It could be changed.

 

Oh, and, enchantign tables aren't available to craft yet. I think intentionally.

I don't suppose I would be capable of creating an enchanting table through RP at some point or are we just not going to see it at all until 4.0?

 

I know a lot of this stuff is all mechanical based and that if you can't do it normally through mechanics then tough but this is an RP server as well, so it shouldn't be beyond the realms of fantasy that one of the first enchanters could be capable of crafting an enchanting table. :P

I have someone working on the new enchanting recipes. They are glyph-based as well as tier based this time around.

As far as I know you are fully allowed to create an RP enchantment through RP. An enchantment table won't do you much good at the moment though.
