Traits

 

The Aefyres are known for their signature platinum hair, and amber eyes. Profound warriors with a great sense of loyalty they place their family above all else. They have a history of going wretched and slip from sanity as they age, but this is rarely the case. Although the living Aefyres are entirely human, they are still slightly more infertile than other humans due to their elfish descent.

 

 

Rules and Laws

 

I.      Attempting, successful or fail, to kill or harm the House leader is punishable by death.

II.    Orcs or Dwarves will not be taken as partners. Elves must be cleared with the House leader.

III.  Harming a fellow Aefyre without proper cause is punishable by death

IV. Engaging in conflict with noble Houses that might hinder the progression of House Aefyre is forbidden.

V.   Betrayal of your family is punishable by torture and death

VI. One must always be faithful to your partner

VII.        Theft of a fellow Aefyre’s possessions is forbidden

VIII.      Enemies will be shown no mercy unless commanded

IX. Obedience to the elders of the House is expected and required

X.   If the House leader is to perish or become unfit for his role, his eldest son will take his position. If he is without a son, his eldest brother. If there is no brother or son it proceeds to the eldest male cousin, eldest nephew, or eldest male relative.

 

 

Origin/Pre-history

 

House Aefyre can date its origin back to the land of Asulon. The legend details a story of true love, between Dinendal Elsar and Alexandra Oxford. Dinendal was a thin, handsome elf with well kept silvery white hair and piercing gold eyes, whilst Alexandra was human born, a beautiful young woman of noble blood. The two fell for eachother, but were both shunned by their families and communities. Dinedal was ridiculed for taking an interest in an inferior being like a human, and Alexandra was hounded by her father for being infatuated with a non-human creature. Yet the two’s hearts where set on eachother. Ditching their homes, families and lives behind Dinedal and Alexandra moved to an independent settlement where they settled down and started a family. Their half born children all had high resemblence to their father, each having silvery white hair and golden eyes. Yet they had the average heightened and broadish build of their mother. Dinendal, who had become consumed in the idea of dynasty only allowed his children to be married off to elves or humans, depending on what racial traits the child showed the most. Besides from Dinendals stubbornness, he and Alexandra had a pleasant and happy life together, but as with the curses, Alexandra soon perished. Grief stricken, Dinendal passed the ‘patriach’ family duties to his first born son, Ilythor.

 

As generations passed, Ilythor allowed his children to take partners based on love, not blood. This angered Dinendal, who believed his son was disregarding the tradition that was layed out for the family, yet Dinendal disregarded the fact that he took his partner out of love, not blood. Perhaps it was the grief he still carried that turned Dinendal mad, but as Ilythors partner Cassie was giving birth to their son, Dinednal set the home alight. The midwives helping with the birth were burnt to death, along with sadly Ilythor and Cassie themselves. The following day as the smoke settled, the family crowded the charred remains of the small cottage like home. Checking for bodies, one of the older men saw a mans corpse burnt black hunched over something. Ilythor was the only male in the home at the time. Lifting the corpse up, the cries of a baby were heard. Covered in soot, and a burn mark along  his shoulder, a young baby with silvery white hair and golden eyes cried out into the morning sun. His name was planned to be Aeyron and the name remained. Yet they all viewed this child as a sign. He survived a fire, he was ment to be in the world. And to honour him, they all took the name Aefyre, fire to represent his birth, and the A-E-Y to represent his name. House Aefyre was born.

 

The old ways are gone

 

Coming of age, Aeyron soon became to the head of the Aefyre family. He had his elfish height, standing at 6ft 8, a leaner build but muscular and had a long face with distinctive eyes. Not particularly unattractive, but not quite handsome either. His white hair grew long but was well kept. Dinendal, was infuriated as to how all his family had forgotten about him. Attempting to plunge a knife into Aeyrons heart, Dinendal tried to murder him infront of everybody, too succumbed to madness to care about the on lookers. But he was easily reprimanded and later decapitated. Aeyron had married a full blooded human girl named Mariana, who was traumatized as the sight of nearly seeing him killed. Enraged by her suffering, Aeyron banned any marriage to elves, and had all Aefyres who resembled more elf than human executed, ignoring that the only reason he was so tall was because of his elfish blood, but nobody said anything. Establishing a solid family and House with rules, laws and traditions, Aeyron was praised and feared amongst his community and even family.

 

Half breeding came to a halt, and the new generations and ones that followed had elfish descendents and carried some of their physical traits but claimed to be a human family. Their hair slowly changed from a silvery white to a more platinum ‘white gold’ and the eyes of the Aefyres diluted from a beautiful gold to a more ambery brown. Their pointy ears began to become human like as the years went on. Decades passed, and in old age Aeyron who had become a wretched and hateful being went for a walk away from his settlement and towards a peaceful forest. Little did he know, it was not peaceful. After hours of wandering aimlessly, Aeyron heard a slight ruffle of leaves, then a borderline silent growl. Before he could blink, a wolf had set upon him. Spear heading him to the ground, the wolf bit into his clothes and scratched his skin. But it suddenly began shaking its head and retreated off of him. It had a bite mark on its neck. So subtle that if it wasn’t for the blood gushing from the wound onto the wolfs grey-white fur you wouldn’t notice it. Leaning up, Aeyron saw a serpent hissing at the wolf. It was a sickly black colour with a white blotch on the top of its head. The wolf’s movements became groggy as it suddenly slumped to the ground. Poisoned by the serpents venom. The serpent coiled itself next to Aeyron, who proceeded to pick the serpent up and it soon wrapped itself along Aeyrons neck and shoulders. He returned to his family and created the Houses sigil. A white serpent on a black shield, to signify how the serpent shielded him from harm.

 

In the later years of Asulon, Aeyron had become obsessed with snakes, serpents and vipers and kept many as pets. Near the time of the flood that ended Asulon, his obsession turned to his downfall. A great leader who lead with an iron fist, and was revered by his family, Aeyron was found dead, covered in little bite marks by a tree. The marks were that of serpents fangs. In turn, red was added to the sigil to signify Aeyrons blood. Aeyron was succeeded by his only son Graegon.

 

Decline

 

Many years later, in the middle of the descendents time in Anthos, the Aefyres began a decline. It started with the reign of Blaegar the Bad. An old decrepit bastard, Blaegar began picking fights the Aefyres could not win. Challenging more powerful houses, Blaegar saw the Aefyres quickly culled. Their numbers dwindling, only children, Blaegar’s wife and brothers remained. Blaegar’s wife Oralia decided to save her family and children, that Blaegar had to go. She murded him in his sleep, smothering him with a pillow. Whilst saving the House from extermination, she broke House law. Draegan, Blaegars eldest son took role as House leader. It pained him, but by law his mother had to die. She was decapitated and the House moved to the Fringe and to Thales. All that remained was one generation, and Blaegars two brothers.  Draegan has decided to extend House Aefyres reach and restore it to its once powerful state.

((The only thing that is set is the name and age. Appearance, personality, height weight whatever is up to you as long as it fits the family traits. And you can apply for your own character completely these are just ideas, but again, as long as they fit the family traits. To add roleplay, Ive refrained from adding wives and husbands except for Draegan so you can go out and find your partner and make your babies. So this is just the core family.))

Aesthetic appearance (Bit OOC)

 

((Take a look a my skin for colours of hair and eyes. Theres no style you need to have your hair just the colour, same with eyes I guess if there really is a style of eyes. As for attire and clothes, you are not expected to but its optional to wear the House’s family armour. You will see hair colour and eye colour in my skin along with the armour. Because a bad skin link botched my miners need cool shoes, and because novaskin just doesnt want to download skins, and it wont let me attach files, I cant give you a skin so Im sorry but if you want to use the armour look at MC skin, and if you choose to wear the armour and dont want to have long hair you'll have to change the back of the skin. Just take the black armour colour and fill it in, otherwise leave the hair or do your own thing with it. However I could send it over skype :) ))

Now for some OOC for reals. Im going to ramble on a bit possibly so give me a bit of leeway with this part.

 

Essientially, I am doing this for fun. I’ve begun to lose my spark for this server and I’m trying to fight losing it as we have such an amazing experience here at LOTC and I want to have an amazing to experiencing it. Before I go on, quick points.

 

-Yes keen observer, House Aefyre has been influenced by House Targaryen. Theres two reasons I did that. 1) House Targaryen is god damn awesome and 2) I figured strategically it could attract a playerbase into GOT and the Targaryens. Will it pay off? Yet to be seen. Will I be called edgy or whatever it is this week and get absolutely hammered and slandered by the community? Who knows. But the fact of the matter is yes, Im going down right and saying that House Aefyre has taken influence from House Targaryen.

 

-Shouts to Clan Orvar and House Tarus, I used your posts to get an idea of how to structure mine.

 

-Im gonna be honest. I have no real land, no real currency or items. I generally hold no high recognition in pinkskin society as im traditionally an orc player, so I just want to let that be in the open if you are considering applying. Ive made it fit with the lore so we have nothing essentially and will build from the ground up, together!

 

-If you are considering applying for a character (don’t be shy if you want to im not a super duper application team its essentially first come first serve) I don’t want a one day character. I want time invested into these characters. I don’t want them to be one off played if that. Preferably mains but I know at this point its not likely so alts are cool just commonly played alts you feel me? In the words of Tywin Lannister, Im trying to “establish a dynasty that will last a thousand years.” Not literally but the dream would be for House Aefyre to actually do good. Become powerful, maybe have a bit of political pull, just really be important and be something that will entice players.

 

Ok so now the issue is, is that I am one person doing this at the moment. One person. So that tends to shut people off so if I don’t get a decent amount of interest I’ll probably just abandon the project I don’t want to cling onto it as much as Im really keen for it. Now the reason Im doing this is like I said for fun, but because nothing else seems fun anymore. You can call me power hungry, creating a house that im the leader of but really Im just extending my talents. I have been apart of the orcish community for as long as I have been on the server and its recently become stale for me. In the month that ive branched out into pinkskin rp Ive met some real cool people but I cant settle on a character. (bragging in 3, 2…) Ive done all there is to do in orcish rp. Ive  played a generic orc grunt, a spiritual clan mother, a ruthless war general, and power hungry warlord and a prophet. Theres not much else I can do. Ive helped a clan thrive and pretty much almost single handedly created its history (credits to higgsyy for laying the outline out when he did), I wrote a 10,000 word history recount for the clan, created a language, aided in creating a species (Braduk Rhinos), Ive really done all I can do and its just not fun for me anymore.

 

That’s why I have broadened my spectrum. Im hoping to bring my talents if you could call them that, to pinkskin rp and do the equivalent of what I did with the orcs, and House Aefyres history on this post is 3 pages, the Braduk Clan history I did was 30 pages just about so Ill flesh it out these were just the significant points (and if the history is sub par, I apologise pinkskin rp is still pretty new to me). I know im rambling on and you may be wondering where am I going with this.  What Im trying to say in a dragged out way is that I really hope this thing gets picked up which I get the feeling it wont (not being a sympathy *****, Ive seen this kinda stuff it either does really well or fails miserably). And I know people will say I could have just joined another house. Yeah I could’ve, but that’s part of the reason why I shift from characters so much because I have nothing to really hold onto when I join other peoples creations on the server.
