A Divine Call For Clerics

[!] Letters are sent out, spreading like a plague through the ranks of any and all clerics. Be they priests, warriors, paladins, or Itharel. The letter speaks thusly:

 

"Through the word of Light have I been instructed. Our Patron has spoken unto me, and willed me to speak in turn unto you. Thus, in Tahariae's name, I bid thee to join me tomorrow as the sun begins to cast its light over the horizon. I trust that all who receive this letter shall be present in spirit, if not in person. I accept the oddity of this letter, and can offer no explanation as to why Tahariae has chosen to speak through me, nor any proof of its validity. Alas, I will carry out his will, and put my trust in his Light. I pray that you will do the same."

Sunrise, the next day:

Haruki stands idle upon a grassy hill, the location to which was written upon a map contained in each letter. He casts his gaze over the sloping hills, an expression of worry splayed across his features as he awaits the arrival of those he contacted.

Haruki responds, gently dipping his head in greeting to Aegor.

"I will tell you once more have gathered, but it is good to see that my message has been received. How do you fare, friend?"

Aegor smiles grimly, sliding his hood down, ghastly shadowed darkness seem plastered to the bottom of his eyes from a lack of sleep, "Not that grand, but I will do. Aye, it is nice to see another cleric, how do you fare, and what be your name?"

Heshakomeu clambers up the hill, adjusting the straps of his bag on his shoulder. When he reaches the top, he bows to the two figures, then pulls out the letter and map.

 

"Karin'ayla. I received these, which told me to come to this hill for an important message... You are both clerics?"

Aegor nods to Heshakomeu, "Aye, been a long time llir."

Heshakomeu blinks in surprise as he sees Aegor. "Aye. A pleasure to see you again, Aegor." He turns to Haruki. "You are Haruki Ishiwaka, I presume?"

"I am." the man responds with a kindly smile.

Aegor looks to the fellow gathered clerics tiredly, "This seems ill, is this news of something of ill will towards us all?"

Jakir slowly makes his way up the hill, armour and weapons clanking the whole way as he looks around the group. "Had to pick a Taharaie damned hill. Can't have a Cleric party without Jakir, so why you call us?" he shuffles lightly. Getting comfy as he sits down upon the grass.

The armoured form of Isaac Baelish, face hidden behind the visor of his close helmet trudges up the hill. The various plates grinding against each other to announce his arrival. Slowly he glances to each of the assembled, nodding to each of them in turn. 

 

"I apologize for being late. I assume this is urgent?"

*Kaun slowly walks up the hill, his age, even as an elf, rendering against him. He slowly approaches the top of the hill as he looks across everyone already there. He smiles lightly under his hood, knowing others came as well.*

 

"Hello everyone, nice to see others could make it here on this day... I'm not sure if I've met you all before, so.. I greet you all now I suppose."

 

*He says as he nods in the direction of each of them. He then leans on his staff, the wood creaking  slightly as he turns to look across Thales as far as the hill allows.*

Haruki lets his gaze drift over the small group, regarding those present with a small but warm smile, "My thanks to you all for coming. I suppose there is no sense in simply waiting for all to arrive, so perhaps I will pass on my message and simply request that you carry it forth."

 

"To give a brief answer to the questions you may have, there is no ill that befalls us. Simply a task from our Patron, which he has chosen to pass on to me. We must plan an expedition of sorts. A quest, even." he gives a soft chuckle.

 

The elf raises a hand and sets the middle knuckle of his index finger to his lips, mouth moving in muted murmurs of prayer or thought. He seems to stay oddly silent for some time, considering just how to present his words. In this time, others may speak or arrive.

Isaac pauses for a moment before tilting his head in Haruki's direction. A seemingly awkward movement from a man in plate.

"I'm guessing this makes you Haruki? Our Patron mentioned to me that you had also had these visions. I wouldn't be surprised if many of us have."

 

He pauses for a moment before simply stating. 

"Whilst we wait we should place wards, or have we already done that?"

The High Cleric Mandru arrives at the hill.

 

"In fact, I shall vouch for this man," he says as he approaches, using his Elderwood staff as a walking stick.

 

"For Tahariae has contacted me too... for the exact same reason," he grumbles.

 

"I TRIED desperately to tell you yesterday, but noo. All of you think your High Cleric is crazy and senile. Well guess what, I'm only a thirdway through my life!

 

In any case... Mister Haruki, please, tell those gathered of the appearance of Tahariae. If it is what I think it is, then there is no time to spare."
