Mental-Escape-6.jpg

Amid the familiar home of the Kharajyr, Karak'tuum, a storm was brewing. Figures both large and small dotted the clearing, some heading inside for shelter, some going under the cover of the trees, some simply staying in the rain. But as an exceptionally large figure stepped upon the pedestal that bore the sacrifical altar, every head turned, every shape disregarded the rain. A yowl calling for attention resonated across the clearing, recognizable by most as the deep, gravelly voice that belonged to Dri'Rameethar, the Dra'Metza.

"Kharajyr! Come! Hear what Rameethar has to say!" As the shout echoed throughout the settlement, Kharajyr returned from inside the temple, came from under the cover of the trees, and settled in front of the pedestal. "Kharajyr, friends, there is much you must know, and even more that you cannot. This may cause panic, may cause dismay, but rest assured that no matter what you think of what you are about to hear, everything will turn out for the better."

"A deep winter is coming, and there is nothing we can do to stop it." He began with a mysterious tone to his voice. "An Yba told Rameethar this, but he was... different. Chosen by Metztli. Metztli had sent this ape as a messenger, as hard to believe as it sounds. He told Rameethar many things, and it is time you hear some of them." Grumbles of disbelief and curiosity arose from the crowd, and Rameethar let them finish before he continued.

"This winter that is coming will freeze this entire realm. There is nothing we can do to prevent that. But the Yba spoke of a land far to the east, across a seemingly endlessly troubled ocean. To get there, we would require a ship that is so strong, so resilient, it could rival Xerdun's Flight. That is why Rameethar needs you, why all the Kha' are needed. To build this ship will require every Kha' put in their worth. If you ask why we must prepare for something on the word of an ape, question not. They were not the ape's words. They were Muuna's."

Once again cries of disbelief arose and Rameethar let them finish. "But to find this land when we need to most, we will need to know where it is. A Kharajyr must travel there. That is also what brought Rameethar here. He is leaving this place on a journey to find the place that may become our home at last, the home where we may remain in peace, undisturbed except for the occasional problems with the apes. Wherever it might be, it will be home, and Rameethar must find it. He leaves now to board a small ship, and sail across the ocean that is troubled by the same storm our camp is." He looks up at the rain, which has grown heavier and heavier as he spoke. He knew sailing the ocean in a one man ship would be like trying to tame a Gy'waka as a cub.

"Rameethar knows you have many questions, and all will be answered in due time. But right now, Rameethar knows what the Kharajyr have to do to prepare. You build. You build the strongest ship to ever grace the ocean. Follow the Tlatlanni's orders. He knows how  must be done. With or without Rameethar, you can do it, Kharajyr. When Rameethar returns from his journey-" he says before adding darkly "-if he returns from his journey, it will not be without finding the land we are to live upon first. It should take no more than three elven days... If more, then... well, Metztli knows what will have happened to Rameethar. Without further delay, he must be leaving... Sa'vi, Kharajyr, Metztli kieta ouin vuudcdabc."

Rameethar gave his last goodbyes and briskly headed for the entrance to Karak'tuum, taking a last glance backward knowing it might be the last time he sees it.

OOC

(( Did this in common speak for the sake of reading. In the next 3-4 days I'm going to be going to a concert and then moving into my new house. When I get back from this everything will surely be made a bit clearer. This is an RP thread, so feel free to respond. I will return soon. Until then, Sa'vi!))

Natayshi stumbles out from the tomb upon hearing the commotion, using a make-shift staff of branches and bones to support her as she hobbles over to the group of Kharajyr huddled around Rameethar curiously, listening intently to what he has to say. After his departure, she bangs her staff against the stone altar for attention, waving her free paw around above her head as she begins to speak:

"Rawmeethawr speaks awf'a prawphecay, bawt thees prawphecay cawms frawm an' aype? Tha Muungayzurs 'ave fawrseen naw sawch prawphecay. Eet seems our'a dear Rawmeethawr haws been mislead by nawn less thawn'a chyld awf tha Sun, sent tu aws to lead aws astray, an' eentu dayngur... Natayshi wawld beg awf tha loyal Kha', Metztli's Kha', remayn 'ere whur' eet ees sayfe. Eef Metztli waws tu send aws'a message she'a wawld nevur du saw thru' awn aype!"

She grunts, casting her weary gaze over to where Rameethar departed from, scratching her wrinkled chin in both frustration and uncertainty. After a long moment of staring into space, she wanders towards the back of the group, sitting herself down cross-legged under the shade of a tree to oversee the Kha's reactions.

A red robed figure stood outside of his flat storied den to get hammered with the yelling of a mad Kha' speech. He rubs his chin of light grey beard, he is Zeriko. When Rameethar departed to a distance, and Natayshi rant of the truth. Zeriko nods in approval, he approached into the crowd pushing gently to get in front. He stood forward from the crowd that gathered to speak upon the stairs of the altar, Zeriko looks over the Kharajyr to shout his opinion.

"Rameethar takka a word offa an ape thut it issa a messangur of Metztli. Itta is likea sayin itta is a Tla' or Sage offa Metztli. Du notta tak thussa foolish kha' worddsa. He hussa been mislead. Natayshi issa right un thussa, take a wordda frum a loyal Kharajyr andda Sage offa our munna, Metztli."

Ja'Raska listens to Rameethar from a distance, his left ear twitching softly under the hood of his robes. His cheery expression twists into a soft frown as he speaks, shaking his head. He leans heavily upon his trident, faded yellow eyes running up and down Rameethar in a freightened and worried manner. "Tha muuna wuuld nawt leave tha Kharajyr weeth ah' prawfacy tawld by'ah aype.. Rameethar mawst hawve lawst hees way," He frowns, closing his eyes and turning to meditate by the moon pool.

An old discoloured leparda stands in the group, listening to Rameethars speech, and the rant of Natayshi. After the kha' has given there opinion, he sluggishly begins to step forward, the sound of metal and armour can be heard as he slowly makes his way to the front. He looks down onto the group before he begins to speak up.

"Tahyl heyurs yu say thees weel caws feeyur throught thar kharajyr. Manee uff'ah yu theenk Rameethar ees'ah misslead. Tahyl ees nawt saying he is ryght een whut he says, bawt Tahyl ees theenking uff all the optawns. Ef we build aw boat andda et daw happen then we get tu escaype, eef et daws nawt, thar boat cawn still be used by the kharajyr tu gu awn jawrnees andda fishing trips cawn et nawt? Tahyl steps down, before slowly aproaching the group again, waiting for someone to reply to what he has said.
