Couple Of Game Issues.

Hello guys and gals,

I've noticed a few minor graphical issues with my game, and was wondering if any of you know how to fix them. First off, just so you know, I have Forge, OptiFine, and More Player Models installed. My texture pack is Sphax x256.

So first of all, I've noticed that water at a distance has a sort of black grid effect.

It only takes effect at a distance in water, as you can see. Any ideas?

My next small, but annoying issue is that chunks only load to a certain distance.

Any ideas? Here are my current video settings, in case you want them.

1st is graphical artifacts that can be solved through antialiasing, though that might be a little intensive if you don't have a good system. Alternatively try using a different water texture (much less intensive), since that one you have is contributing to the graphical artifacts.

You can read here about the graphical artifacts you're getting and how AA solves them:

2nd is server-sided. I believe it's due to increasing to a 400 server cap (pretty massive for a server without hub/shard systems in place). The view distance has been reduced to reduced strain on the system, I assume.

PS: Try turning Fast Math on, and set Advanced OpenGL to Fast (you only need OpenGL turned off if your graphics card doesn't support it or you're using shaders that have shadows). Also turn Chunk Loading to Multi-Core if your CPU supports it. Additionally, try turning off Anisotropic Filtering, it really doesn't do much and hogs a lot of resources, Antialiasing will have a much more noticeable effect.

This players questions have been answered and the situation resolved.

Should you wish to have this reopened, please PM me your reasons why it should be so.
