How Does Mining Work In The Mining World?

So, as I did practically no mining on Thales, I have no idea how mining works now. Where do minerals spawn? What level do you have to be to mine them? Everything really.

There are mine warps around the world and you mine stuff. You can go below Y70 at apprentice mining.

(Or you could enter one of the racial mines and create a cavern, but remember to use supports!)

I'm all the way at level 50, been mining for awhile, no iron, what am I doing wrong (I can't go down any further, should I come up?)?

At the cloud temple from where you spawn or soulstone home there's a map with all the OOC coordinates to the racial mines and wilds mines. If you have citizenship at any of the racial cities, you should try and mine there. If you have difficulty, then just make your way to one of the wilds ones. Once you get to the mine, there should be a sign with coords and stuff. Right click it to go into the mines.

 

How deep you're allowed to mine is linked to what level you are in mining. The greater your level, the deeper you can mine and the more valuable ores you can access.

 

Always put up supports after what you've done and try to put up a decent amount of torches as the mob spawning is incredibly high. Never soulstone out of the mine once you're done because the mines are in a different world (kinda like how the nether is in a different world, I think).

What really confuses me is how people get stacks upon stacks of iron  whereas I spend at least an hour to get... 10 iron.

Start mining at y level 25 it works for me becausim proficient but you should go to 30 starting out
