A Call To Pots And Pans

*Posters are plastered on many a noticeboard throughout the land, as well as all over The Wandering Inn*

You are all invited to the first, possibly annual, Great Battle of the Atheran Chefs!

 

 

All chefs, home cooks, bakers, or those aspiring to be are welcomed and encouraged to participate.

Non-chefs are welcomed to come watch, and will be offered food and drink. All that, and a good show!

Ingredients will be provided. This includes what is necessary to make the dishes you will be asked to make through the duration of the competition, though each chef is allowed to bring one secret ingredient that may be used at any time during the competition. Meat will not be accepted as a secret ingredient, as it is usually a main component of dishes. Secret ingredients may be sauces, vegetables, spices, herbs, and the likes.

 

The rounds are pre-determined, but not told to the competitors before arrival. Dishes will be judged by a panel of judges, who will not be told who cooked the dishes, to keep it fair.

 

There is no limit to the number of participants. If you bring your own cooking pot, you are guaranteed a spot and may participate for free! Cooking pots will be returned upon the end of the competition.

Those not providing a cooking pot will be charged an entry fee of fifty minas, and must register more than 24 hours before the start of the competition.

There will be no discrimination based on race, gender, or kingdom of origin in entry, participation, or attendance.

 

Those registering as guards to help ensure the safety of the competitors (and sobriety of the crowd) will be asked to bring their own armor, though swords and bows may be provided upon negotiation.

 

First Prize: 150 minas, a brand new frying pan, and free booze for a year.

(As much as you can drink, not carry.)

Second Prize: 100 minas, a brand new kitchen knife, and free food for six months.

(Same condition.)

Third Prize: 50 minas, an engraved shot glass, and a great big hug.

 

The competition will take place Saturday, at 2PM EST at The Wandering Inn. Though the competition starts at that time, contestants are asked to arrive a bit earlier to turn in materials and get situated.

It's the birchy inn just by the road to the elven city, directly off the main road.
