Watyll 1104 Share Posted September 26, 2014 Elves need some songs. I made some. Guarding a gate gives you a lot of spare time. I know a lot of the grammar etc. is incorrect but you know, incomplete language, gaps need to be filled. Most of them actually have a rhyme scheme so I'm pretty proud of that. And I tried to make at least one for each sub race. Here you go: When Malin Walked the Forests Malin elamean narn ito elker’ante Elvish: Ito cruan igne’sae Ito cruan toh’sae Ito cruan miar’sae Malin elamean narn ito elker’ante Lenan kerante len’sae Noran kerante nor’sae Malii ito linan’sae Malin elamean narn ito elker’ante Lye andria adont ito Lye llum adont ito Lye vira’n adont ito Lye elkarin’ento adont Malin narn elamean marn’oem Common: There was no war There was no razing There was no harming When Malin walked the forests Songs were sung Lands were farmed Elves within towns When Malin walked the forests We wait with hope We wait with mourning We wait with vigilance We wait for the time when Malin walks the forests once more War Seeker (Dark Elven Song of War) Igne’sae Uhierir Elvish: Div’cruan Div’wyn Div’san Div’lirrin El’tos’narn lye adil tuva El’tos’narn el’igne’sae uhierir El’tos’narn lye adil tuva El’tos’narn el’igne’sae uhierir Miyumier berr Miyumier sil Miyumier ker Miyumier ihnsil El’tos’narn lye adil tuva El’tos’narn el’igne’sae uhierir El’tos’narn lye adil tuva El’tos’narn el’igne’sae uhierir Chul igne’sae Chul evar Chul miar’sae Chul okar Lye igne’sae uhieriran Common: Devoid of pain Devoid of happiness Devoid of speaking Devoid of smiles This is the way we want all This is the way of the war seeker This is the way we need all The way of the war seeker Carry bow Carry sword Carry dark Carry spear This is the way we want all This is the way of the war seeker This is the way we need all The way of the war seeker Must war Must protect Must harm Must safeguard We war seekers Melody of Sleep Ciw Lenniel An Elven lullaby often sung to get young children to sleep. Samoblivion 532 Share Posted September 26, 2014 I adore these. For some reason the Wood Elf war song reminds me of the Mandalorian war hymn from Republic Commando:
Watyll 1104 Author Share Posted September 26, 2014 I adore these. For some reason the Wood Elf war song reminds me of the Mandalorian war hymn from Republic Commando: I'd picture this as more of the melody for War Seeker, because of the darker tones. Mizziyrnn 2 Share Posted September 26, 2014 ((So awesome. I'll make sure this gets used in rp. The dark elf one is so metal, in fact throw a bearded Norwegian person as a singer and a guitar solo and it's there. That'll do pig, that'll do)) Mizziyrn mutters an aggressive chant to himself, recalling the most grim of his days right before laying his head down to sleep. Mizziyrnn 2 Share Posted September 26, 2014 make a song about an evil tiny dark elf who likes to eat people and cause chaos. I think dark elves have had enough tiny cannibals who have no understanding of law and order, best not sanction it through song.

Demotheus 651 Share Posted September 26, 2014 I think dark elves have had enough tiny cannibals who have no understanding of law and order, best not sanction it through song. That's just the thing though. It needs to be written in song. Doesn't have to praise it, just acknowledge that it's a thing that happens.
