Definitions These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. What is roleplaying?: - Role-playing is when creates a persona, and acts that character out along with others. What’s metagaming?: - Is when someone takes information outside of the game, and uses it to their advantage . What’s powergaming?: - When you force actions on another person, or forcing them into an unfair situation. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. What’s your character called?: - Orwen Brunswick What race are they? (and sub-race if applicable): - Human What gender are they?: - Male How old are they?: - 18 Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Orwen was originally an orphan of Petrus, being born as some bastard or forgotten son of a noblemen. Beros, mayor of Grimorie Heart had seen the poor child being thrown out of some home, and decided to take care of him, being of gentle heart. Beros was thinking of a last name for young Orwen then thought of Brunswick, it fit perfectly. When Orwen was brought to Grimorie heart the townspeople were in awe. Beros reported that all the townspeople must help with raising Orwen. At first the townspeople did not know what to do with young Orwen. Since there were no schools near the secluded town, Grimorie Heart. Many people from the town stepped forward to educate Orwen. One teacher whom Orwen befriended; Belegar, who had taught Orwen how to smith Ferrum, and Aurum into useful items. Currently, he continues to live in Grimorie Heart at the age of eighteen. While Orwen was learning to smith aurum, Beros walked to him and told him he needed to learn to fight. Beros took Orwen deeper into the swamp, where no one would disrupt them. Beros handed Orwen a stick and spared with him. After the fight Orwen was full of bruises and scratches, and after months of training, Orwen was still an awful swordsmen, and so he decided to travel to Petrus, hoping to learn better sword skills and prove himself to be a great hero. Orwen was traveling for many days and then he arrived. As he walked through the gate he was amazed on how beautiful the kingdom was. Living in the swamp for the majority of his life prevented him from seeing forests and various biomes of the world. He went to the commanding guard and begged to prove himself worthy of being a squire and asked for some sort of training. Reluctantly, the guard accepted him, shoving him into a small militia group, allowing him to learn a bit better than Beros’s training. After several months Orwen was a little over the average of a swordsmans usual skill level. Now, Orwen trains to be a knight of Petrus, visiting his home at Grimorie Heart from time to time. What are they like? (personality): - He’s decently amicable, however, due to his close and only upbringing in Grimorie Heart, is extremely xenophobic, not approving of outsiders and the other races who don’t live in the town with him. What are their ambitions?: - Orwen had always shown Belgar great heroes in stories and legends, such as Xan, or Urir, and always admired their traits. He saw the heroes sacrifice something for the greater good, and although he had no magical prowess or combat training, he is determined to do any good for the people. Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Orwen had been raised as a blacksmith and taught by Beros and Belegar, giving Orwen a better education than most. However, lack of armor, does increase his mobility, and he is an alright swordsman. Give us a description of how they look?: - Orwen is around 6ft, generally in some chain or iron armor. His sharp blue eyes are always scanning the horizon, jerking his head back and forth as if he was an owl. His hair is often messy, showing how little he cares about appearance. gam 386 Share Posted September 27, 2014 Your application has been denied. You need to use LotC lore. Grimorie Heart is not an LotC town. This isn't Fairy Tail. You did not list any weaknesses. I want you to expand on your powergaming definition a bit. Your application kind of jumps around. Do you still live in the small town or not? If possible, I would like you to maybe include at least one parent in your application. The whole orphan -> swordsman thing is kind of cliche. Good luck, you may re-apply in 24 hours.
