Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: I have been banned four times as far as I can recollect, firstly for returning to battle, secondly for hitting through wooden doors when I was nation leader (Which was overturned after I talked to Admins) third, for killing someone after a broadcast in a raid and last for leaving leaves. All relatively minor incidents.

Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions? I had two stints on the Media Team, however don’t let me leaving twice let you question my dedication. The issue with the MT is that I only make videos when I am inspired, and I couldn’t force myself to make videos without that inspiration so ultimately I deemed myself inactive and left on good terms. I also am happy to help anyone with MT stuff.

What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present)

As far as MMORPG goes, LoTC is the closest thing although I did play LOTR war in the north which on it’s wiki is stated as an RPG. I play an array of video Games. I would mainly say (past and present):

Shadow of Mordor

Fifa((Allofem))

Mount and Blade

Used to play Call of duty a lot

I played a lot of MTW2 and 1

Played a little chivalry

Some GMOD

I own CK2 and CIV 5 although I don’t play them nor am I good.

What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member?

My main character is Thrain Irongut which I don’t wish to permanently kill as I am a high levelled blacksmith. But I would be willing to play other characters and cut down on playing thrain.

My other Characters are alts which I don’t mind killing.

What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain.

Dwarves and Humans, both races I have roleplayed a lot with, I would like to cater to an array, so host both combat/roleplay based events.

What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?

Set up

I think every event needs a good background, or a good deal of Lore behind it. Monster killing events are all good and well but they have no significance, from my own experience, knowing that what you are doing could shape the server is engrossing and it keeps players involved. Obviously involved in setting an event up is pre-builds, plans etc etc. So organisation is also a massive aspect.

Challenge and Interaction

Killing mobs is fun don’t get me wrong, but adding something difficult (for example the parkour at the large doors). What I especially enjoyed in the uncovering of iblees was the riddle/puzzle aspect to the events, I would very much like to create something similar to that. Events should mix mechanical and mental aspects.

Reward

Putting it bluntly, every event needs it’s loot. Even if they didn’t enjoy the event at least there would be something at the end to reward the player for sticking though beating it.

When was the last time you saw a event?

I attended one held by Dreek a while back

What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing?

I would be lying if I said I knew a lot about Lore, recently I got wiki access and have been delving in to Dwarf lore. I am planning a series of pages covering the reigns of every Dwarven King. As far as organisation goes, in RP I have held many roles within the Dwarven Kingdom such as King and Grand Marshal which I feel has contributed to my overall managerial skills.

I would deem myself competent and say my RP is up to a relatively high standard, contradictory to popular belief. I am also an avid Forum user.

Why do you want to be part of the ET?

I have Roleplayed in the community for three years now, and I am interested in progressing in the hierarchy OOCly, I have been enjoying RP a lot recently and I want to create more RP through events.

I think that small events on newer players can make the difference between them sticking around and leaving, but most events are focused on more significant figures. Even leading a new player on an adventure can be mystifying, before they have TS and when the LoTC feels so big, I wanna recreate that experience for others.

Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Ouity, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon.

1) For 1-3 person -

A halfling (Played by me) approaches three random players on the Kings road and invites them to help harvest his crop. He leads the three players (Granted they agree to follow) to the free build area behind the clay canyons and to a colossal golden wheat field.

I tell the three players that the one which returns with the most wheat, will be gifted a neverending scythe (Unbreakin X hoe). Ultimately they are given a huge area to farm, the idea behind this is that I personally find breaking fully grown wheat satisfying, and knowing you won’t have to replant is even better.

The managing behind this event will be very straightforward. It may seem quirky or even pointless, what is to gain from farming? Nothing really, it is designed to be a more light hearted less creepy undead bit of fun.

2) For a group of 5-10-

Southern Urguan is littered with the monumental spruces that tower the forest floor. Hidden deep within these forests is a clearing, within this clearing a pearl blue lake, and within this lake a ruin. Little is known of the origins of the ruin, what it is? How it became? Players are led to the Southern Urguan farm, here they discover a book talking of a Grimluk Fanyorn, a swashbuckling privateer who hoarded the gold of his fallen foe. Attached to the book is a stained map, with coordinates leading out to the southern sea.

The book also hints at a vault underneath the ruin, hiding the lost treasure of Gimluk. The key to opening the vault lies with the body of Gimluk, at the ruin of the Kalkirk; a sunken boat suspended at the bottom of the ocean.

The players are led to a small sailing vessel with a teleport block which sends users to the same boat but surrounded by vast water. Directly underneath the vessel is the Kalkirk, a large frigate flipped by a large wave held at the ocean floor.

The boat drops anchor, allowing the chain to be used as a way to get down to the underwater boat. Once the players have arrived at the ship, they fall straight into an air pocket, the boat seems to be warded - keeping the water out.

There is architecture in the sunken boat, almost like someone had been living there. Deeper the players descend into the boat, wood becoming stone and the stone becoming an abandoned hall. At one end an iron cast throne overlooks the court and the stairs, behind them, close. All the players are left trapped in the abandoned hall when undead minions pour from the walls.

After the scrim, and the players are left with inventories of rotten flesh they move to the throne at which the key is revealed by a piston in the floor. The players return to the ruin to open the vault.

When the players flood into the room, they expect to be rewarded with the riches of Gimluk, but this is no treasure room, this is a tomb. On the back wall sits an eye of iblees carved out of lapis and at it’s foot lays an open casket with the words Thorgarn etched at it’s feet. Behind the players appear Thorgarn Ironborn, freed from his prison. He disappears out of the tomb, and into the night.

Gimluk was no sailor, he was guard.

(I dunno how this corresponds with lore, I know Simmpa killed Thorgnar but I think an undead boss type thingy would be a cool side quest)

3) For a group of 20+

Deep in southern Athera, atop a mountain, an ancient dwarven structure is revealed, upon the entrance to this structure reads “Starbreaker-Bucks”. As those who participate enter, they realise they are not alone in the long stone hallways, as hollow husks of deceased golem's litter the place, multiple discarded aprons rotted into the stonework sit about and heavy footsteps ring across the space.

Eyes gleam from across the hall at the descendants before a floodlight blinds them.

A voice then greets them. "Oz: Dwed, Umros, Elger, Uruk. Yir een mer da dverga nak?"

(Hello, Dwarves, Humans, Elves, Orcs, What will be your order?”). It will then not respond to anything but dwarven, and only questions pertaining to coffee will be considered valid by the golem. Intelligence will have to be used to present a valid order, considering we don't know the word for coffee.

So in the event that a hot beverage is ordered, the Golem turns to the runic machine behind him and begins to make a delicious piping hot coco. Turning back he delivers a cup of joe to each of the descendants and awaits a reaction to his trade.

Considering that the last jug of fresh milk to see it’s way into that structure was before the times of Urguan, it goes without saying that the hot drink hardly tasted like anything edible. On the contrary, it tasted like sewage in a cup. You see this particular Golem was designed by ancient Dwarves to create “The perfect drink”, it doesn’t understand when the descendants literally up chuck their stomach to rid themselves of this vile juice and thus enters backup protocol.

The golemancer that created this machine was a perfectionist, so if any error was met, the golem was tasked with disposing of all evidence, and the room was a ticking time bomb. The walls around the players begin to open vents, leaking out galleons of lava on to the floor. (Enter parkour) Raised floor tiles allow the descendants to jump over the lava plagued floor and to safety, but before, the honorable Golem sacrifices himself by holding the runic machine above the surface of the lava as his abdomen slowly melts. The descendants take the Runic machine and ascend to the surface over the parkour and up the staircase.

But it doesn’t end there, the Golemancer made more than one Golem. Emerging from the top of the stairs, two harvester golems sent to harvest the souls of the players and retract the memory of the faulted coffee golem. The descendants are tasked with battling the golems and escaping.

((This is ridiculous, I know! But I wanted something more light hearted but still lore induced.)

How long do you plan to stay in the ET?

Depending on if and when this app gets accepted for a few months at least, I have a large exam period towards the end of the year that I would have to take hiatus for, but I’m talking 9 months ahead.
