A leatherbound tome can be found in the libraries of Vanderfell, it could have been copied and distributed to other places of learning, where any could read it.

After the fall of the Imperium Quartus, the human kingdoms were left without binding ties. The realm functions at a disadvantage without a cross-national communication. Society has faltered and begun to grow in separate directions, much in the same way it did during the first Age of the Five Kings. Yet, it stagnated and suffered under many a heavy-handed imperial monarch, so this cannot be prudently suggested as a solution as it has been before.

In place of government, I offer information. Data on society, government, and function from across the realm will be compiled for free consumption.

I. Familial Status

In this first section are listed those individuals who act as head of household or themselves hold titles of recognized families of the realm, common or noble, in both nations. Only the highest held titles will be reflected. This will be updated on a yearly ((bi-weekly)) basis to reflect changes or amended inaccuracies.

II. Government

The governments of each of the kingdoms descend from the same basic order, received through history from the Imperium Primus, Secundus, Tertius, and Quartus, with relatively little variation.

Each nation has a privy council, and some sort of citizen's council.

The Mardonic League has little to no central government, except a loose council of Archons chosen from the highest ranking nobles in the confederation. There is no king, no military, and no explicit laws nor land claim.

The Waldenians function with a de jure and de facto absolute monarchy, with all powers flowing from and through the konig. Their central government is strong, and nobles and advisors have diminished power as compared to their sovereign. A council exists for land holders, and exists in a constant state of discussion by correspondence. The Aulic, or privy/king's council, is called regularly in the palace to advise the Hochsouveran, whole rules as crown regent, and the Konig.

The Akovians function with a de jure and de facto absolute monarchy, run by their king with significant influence from their military advisors and Karovian stewards. There is not significant diversification of rank and duties, although a citizen's and privy council exist in name.

Augustus would read the book and smile as he finished,

"Missing a few bits, and an innacuracy or two, but still goo to see someone finally documenting this all."

He would close the tome and slide it back onto the shelf, resolving to write to the author and aid him in the task.

A mysterious voice would ask the inaccuracies to be noted so that they may be corrected.

((Irrelevant, but looking good in your profile pic bruh))

((Thanks cap'n))

Augustus would have the mysterious voice note that the Count Guy de Bar of Leuvaarden and Baron Augustus Fournier were both vassals of Olivier de Savoie. Where they would fit into this new catalogue of nobles he is unsure of, as their titles of Count and Baron were used in the of Duchy of Savoy and may not directly translate to the new Renatian titular system.

Novtorn grumbles, upon going through the scriptures out of curiosity. "Let me donate a small copy of a very old document to ye."

"The title of Marquis or Marquess of Schattenburg has been the title of the Lords of Stafyr ever since the early days on Anthos, when the first Lord of Stafyr under a human Emperor or King, Godwein I. ruled and led us. From him, Edmund Stafyr inherited the title, followed by Farley II. who then gave it to our current Lord, Symon Stafyr, who is not a Baron, but should be Marquess. Due to the lack of any real foreign borders, the equivalent of Count would fall onto him."

Novtorn scratches his chin, nodding once. "Though considering with all this new title business, this'd be fine as it is. Hm. I suppose my old head can't grow over this so fast."

((As far as I know, all subducal landed noble titles were compacted into the generic "Lord". I'll make an RP post and make changes to the original post to include Greyhame and the Savoyard group when I get home.))

Faramith Greyhame looks to the paper, sighs:"Someone forgot the Greyhames who are vassals of Lord Edmund Horen."

Christopher Blackwell looks over the document, scratching his head. "Why were the Greyhames listed as nobles? They aren't recognized as such in Renatus."

((The Duchy of Savoy is an independent Duchy in it's own right consisting of the Duke: Olivier de Savoie, Count of Leuvaarden: Guy de Bar, and Baron of Pobblebonk: Augustus Fournier. They support Renatus but haven't sworn fealty.))

((Updated with the beginnings of a section on government, as well as needed updates brought to my attention regarding the sovereign territories of the human realm that had not sworn to Renatus.

FMs, please pin if possible.))
