How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? I saw a civil war video on the LotC youtube channel and I thought the large battles look really epic, something I wish to be apart of.

What is roleplaying?:From what I’ve gathered, roleplay is when you act out a role, this can be by feeling the characters emotions, and deciding where to go next. You control what happens.

 

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using intellect you have gotten from 3rd party sources like teamspeak3 and putting that information in-character for your advantage. I.e - Somebody tells me they’re being stopped by bandits at xyz (In ts3) and I run to xyz in hopes of helping them.

 

What is powergaming?: Powergaming is when you do things which wouldn’t make sense or leave the opponent with no way of responding fairly. By this I mean if I walk up to somebody and emote *SLITS xyz’s throat.

 

In-Character Information

 

Character’s name: Craig Denthem

Character’s gender: Male

Character’s race: Human

Character’s age: 25

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.)

 

Craig was born in the city of Petrus, capital of the humans. His father, Daniel Denthem was a mere farmer, and his mother, Sarah Denthem was a breeder. In order to keep their house, they had to pay tax each month, meaning Craig had to help out with farming etc. at a young age.

 

When he was 9 years of age he simply followed his fathers footsteps into becoming a father, but when he reached 15 he realised farming wasn’t for him, and he wanted something better, more reliable and something that could be manipulated to go his way.

 

Winter had come, and crops etc. simply weren’t growing, and a lot of the animals were dying due to diseases and hypothermia. However, Craig being slightly more clever than his parents, had the idea of stocking up on the goods such as wheat, and beef until winter had come, as that is when the prices rise due to less of it being in the economy.

 

He walked out into the snowy streets of Petrus where he stood besides his stall, “Wheat! Seling wheat! Only 35minas per barrel full!” Everyone in the street rushed over to his stall, most even over-paying to ensure they got theirs before it ran out.

 

Now at 18, and a recognised adult, he decided to make being a merchant his full time job, so he went off to different lands, buying wheat and other sources which would sell for more when winter had come. It turned out successful as the last one.

 

Finally 25, he’s been getting tired of living with parents, and has decided he’ll buy his own house, he hopes to acquire the money to do so through merchanting as he has done in the past.

 

Personality Traits: Craig is confident and outgoing, he’s not afraid to get himself out there. If an opportunity rises that he’ll be interested in he’ll jump straight to it without any second thinking.

 

Ambitions: Craig hopes to become a successful merchant by trading goods for higher prices than bought and soon to get his own house in the grand city of petrus.

 

Strengths/Talents: Craig is good at talking people into doing stuff for him, for example if someone’s considering to buy something from him, he’ll bluff and go on about how what he’s selling is the best there is so that the buyer will be more obliged to purchase from him

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Craig’s weakness is combat. If ever found out on the roads by himself and asked for his money by a bunch of burglars, he’d simply be helpless and unable to do anything but give his stuff away so that he may live. In addition this also allows bigger people than him bully and push him around, making him look small and useless.

 

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Craig has light brown muffled hair which stops just over his ears. His eyes are of a dark brown color and he stands at a rather average height. Furthermore he’s also a bit skinny and wears typical medieval clothing.
