[Poem] Ashes To Ashes

I wrote this for the RP Writing Contest today, not realizing the contest had already ended. Instead of just throwing it out, I figure I'd get some of the community's feedback. This took my roughly 10 minutes so don't be too harsh ;)

Ashes to Ashes

 

Ashes to Ashes,

The Old World falls.

 

Where the winds carried laughter, 

and the seas twinkled with joy. 

Replaced by silence thereafter, 

A daemon to destroy. 

 

With lush green fields to enjoy, 

and the mountains of valor. 

Rank and file the dead deploy, 

Born of daemon's squalor. 

 

Saved not by a scholar, 

The body count will rise. 

Eradicate the iron collar, 

On this day the world cries. 

 

Ashes to Ashes,

The Old World falls.
