A New Armor

 (( First time doing something like this so please forgive me about anything wrong or misuse of this forum. ))

 

Walks into her house out in the middle of the woods. Walks down the stairs into a lil stone room with a anvil, blueprints and tools littered everywhere. She looks at the blueprints. “What to build what to build. Something unique but...” looks at the iron armour and chain blueprints “Iron allows little maneuverability. Chain is to little protection...” looks at leather “Hmm... perhaps...” looks at the anvil and snaps her fingers “Of course!” she tears down the blueprints and grabs a piece of paper and pen and ink. “A new realm, demands new armor and weapons.” Looks at her sketches of dragons, mountains and creatures “A new time.” she starts to sketch out armour, and weapons. She spends years working on them. “20 Years.” chuckles “20 years out here by myself. Wow. At least the work is done.” Puts on the armor, and the weapons “A new breed. Hmm... perhaps ill call it...” thinks “Samurai? Hmm. That sounds nice.” Puts the armor and weapons on and walks out of her house to never return to it again.

(( In my opinion, it was pretty nice. However, I have never seen a post spand 20 years. The only mistakes I saw, were, instead of 'Walks down stairs. Walks into room.' It needs to be something such as, '{NAME} walks down stairs, into a stone room under her remote home in the woods.' 'Puts on the armor, and the weapons, should be '{NAME} would then put on her new armor, and weapons.' Just a little piece of advice, and happy roleplaying. ))

((If you are proposing samurai in LotC... this is a medieval fantasy server with little to no Asian themes, besides the edgy guy with a katana, I feel like bringing new themes like this either shouldn't happen, or needs almost a more formal introduction to the server, i see that some people might appreciate having asian themes like this but many wouldn't, for the most part this is a server of knights and mage (a medieval and a fantasy warrior) and to introduce samurai would be a big shift in all rp and general attitude towards the server))

((It's entirely possible to have scale armor or lamellar armor of a similar design to older Japanese armor, just write it off as a smith's experimental technique or something like in your original post. I'd recommend putting your own original twist on the terminology however rather than simply saying, samurai. It might also get better reception with that in mind as well. Make the idea your own and go forward with it, rather than referencing history from, essentially, an entirely new and alien culture compared to the current ones in LotC.))

There has been Easterners before, Ishikawa and Kamura for example were houses within the Oren Empire :)

(( Putting Limits on types of armour people can introduce into LOTC and then turning around and complaining about Limits on other things seems very hypocritical of the community. I say if you want to go for it, DO just make it sound cool and interesting. ))

((Easterner culture strong, but I think this kind of thing might already exist. I'm sure I've seen some Easterner wear it, but that culture has been on the low for a while.))
