*All across Athera, fliers are posted on billboards, windows, walls, underneath beds, on doors, inside crying babies' diapers, in garbage bins, and many other places. If you don't see one of these fliers, you must live under a rock. (Note, they are also posted underneath rocks). Upon inspecting the flier, you would see the following words.*

Greetings Atherans, allow me to introduce the Map-O-Matic 3000! I, your friendly neighborhood cartographer, William Harcourt, am cartographizing a map. This map is not like any other map, no sirree, this map is the Map-O-Matic 3000. 'What exactly is the Map-O-Matic 3000?' you may be asking yourself. Well, the Map-O-Matic 3000 is a map of the entirety of civilized Athera, penned by yours truly in excruciating detail. This map is so detailed, you can see which houses need a re-shingling! Now, this is all well and good, and you may be thinking to yourself, 'Gee, I want one of these maps when it's done.' Well there is good news and bad news. The good news is that once this map is completed I will be handing out copies for free. The bad news is that these maps are incredibly expensive to make. For some reason, every time I detail in a small piece of parchment, one of my compasses simply ceases to work. I've had to make dozens of compasses and they've all stopped working. Whenever I try to map by memory, I become extremely sloppy and that's no good. I have now run out of iron to make compasses with, and have run out of leather to make frames for the maps to hang on, so I have crafted this note in hopes of attracting potential donors or traders. If you would like to make a donation or set up a trade, you can contact me in one of three ways. Firstly, deliver a note to Embermoor detailing how I might contact you. Secondly, visit Embermoor yourself and tappity tap tap on the gates. Thirdly, bump into me while I'm wandering around like an idiot.

I am looking to purchase these items. Note, I do not have that many minas, but I can offer a trade of items. They will be listed in a section further down.

-Iron ingots

-Compasses

-Leather

-Tanned Leather

-Item frames

The items I am willing to sell include but are not limited to the following. If you would prefer something else, simply ask and I might have it stored away!

(( Yeah so basically I'm making a map of Athera using the smallest in game maps. This is a project I've wanted to do for a while but haven't had a region big enough to hold the map yet. Now I own Embermoor so I've constructed an ugly but functional room to hold the item frames the map hangs from until it's done. After it's done, I plan on getting a GM to world edit it to an Event Build area so a screenshot can be taken of it and posted on the forums for anyone to use. After that I plan on updating it every once in a while by taking the map items down and going to where they were to refresh, or updating any specific areas is anyone requests. I also plan on getting copies made for anyone who wishes a copy of a small part of the map. Since it's using the smallest available in game maps it will be the most accurate map possible, able to showcase the entire world or just cities with extreme detail. This can be useful in a variety of ways. I've managed to make some decent progress so far but have run into two barriers.

Firstly, the fact that EVERY SINGLE map I make REQUIRES me to USE UP a compass. This makes no Rp sense to me and is making me very salty! I've crafted at least 50 compasses so far and Rply that is stupid. I should only need 1 compass for the entire map, with paper for each one. I highly request the tech team either remove the compass requirement from maps entirely, or have it function like milk buckets where you need a compass in your inventory to craft a map but the compass is not used up in said crafting. Alternatively, allow me to melt down all these useless weapons, iron bars, and suits of armor into iron ingots. Until that is changed or a GM or something gifts me maps or w/e, I'll be needing a lot of compasses and iron ingots to finish this project for the good of the server so any spare compasses or iron ingots you can donate/trade to the cause would be much appreciated.

Secondly, I need a lot of leather to make item frames with. My calculations say I need about 500 more leather/item frames to finish the map. This is a solely Rp problem so I've no real problems with having to obtain it but I really need to trade or be gifted some leather from my bestest LotC buds.

tl;dr - Making map of all athera for public server use, compass requirement on maps is stupid and needs to be changed, and I need compasses and item frames.

Will post screenshots of map progress if requested. ))

((Good luck to you.  I made a 9x9 map of the dwarf lands and Fiandria in a room in Lillith's Grove, was a lot of work.  Be sure to give a poke when you complete it, I'd love to see something that glorious.~))

((Doesn't the CT have one already?))

(( That one is using the largest available in game maps, this map is of the smallest available in game maps, making it about 16 times bigger ))

A random peasant hears of the map being created, expressing himself with the following piece of art.
