MrJoshy 130 Share Posted January 28, 2015 It is within the views of a person’s mind that violence is attributed, called “the call of the void.” Or, your mind saying, “I can kill that person via doing this.” This is to force you to think of the consequences of such. I believe that it is by the analytics of a human that makes them the most dangerous things to have ever walked the earth, simply because of the way that we operate. But war… war is another topic. War is something that has been with us since the dawn of our race; something that we use to eliminate the others against our beliefs. It is within the reaches of a human that we can spark war with only a few simplistic words in the form of a document. It is amazing, yet a dangerous ability. Humans are good at war. But there is a substitute for war in which people have used for centuries, starting quite old. It is the oldest substitute in which a game lies. Which is why, instead of sparking a war, I’ve decided to come together with the idea after seeing any playing games with many good chess players on LotC! I’ve come with SupremacyOps to offer a chess tourney! This event, or tournament in which I have come up with is less “roleplay” oriented than the normal event that I run. And because of such, the partner in which has correlated with me upon this has helped me come with the prizes for a tournament, worthy of the best players LotC has to offer. ~~~ Winner’s Prizes 1st. A golden blade named “The King’s Command” (prize idea from Xiryks/Sky), with unbreaking 4. 2nd. A pair of trousers/leggings named “The Queen’s Blouse,” with unbreaking 4, and a humorous description to be found out by the winner! 3rd. A white leather helmet named “The Rook’s Fort” with protection 2 and unbreaking 4. ~~~ Now, for entry into the event please fill this out: MC Name: Forum name:Real name: [Not needed] Experience with chess: Skype contact name: How confident are you in your abilities? :) : ~~~Information and Setup The tournament will be started Sunday, February 1st. All entries will be organized into the tourney by Saturday, January 31st. The tournament will end when all matches have been played! Website we will be using: http://en.lichess.org How to set up a game! On the main page, click “play with a friend.” You will be given the game link to set up for your match, and then you will send that to your opponent, either in a privated message on the forums, or if you have them on Skype, on there. You have to have a third person watch, to make sure they know what color is what player. You will make sure to keep the game fair, and honest when the winner is decided. After your match is over, you will click “Analysis” underneath the move tracker. Underneath “Analysis,” there will be two options: “Download annotated,” or “Print friendly PDF.” You will copy the link from that PDF, and send it to your opponent, and the person that watched your match. The winner of the match will also file underneath a separate Google Document what match they were, the winner of the match, and a link to the PDF print file. If you wish to play, apply for the tourney! After each first match has been played, the winners will move on accordingly. I hope to see many people come out and play some chess!
