Dragonslayerelf 654 Share Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) Question: Could you have a character that is like Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde in the book - both the same but different - as they were both the same entity and had a shared memory, if you had 2 characters that were like that, having 2 separate identities yet having a shared memory, would that work and be accepted? I was just curious if I could, when i made a new character, have the Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde effect to them. Overland 349 Share Posted February 17, 2015 This is the wrong section, but don't worry. From what I understand, two characters cannot share memories in the manner that you wish to do so, therefore it is probably best you don't. There is probably another method to achieve this, but I personally wouldn't recommend having multiple personalities or the like.

I had an idea on how to achieve this with just one character (though it may get a bit tedious at times). Have one character named [insert name here] who was a conjuration mage, but with one of his spell attempts [separating himself into 2 personalities - good and evil (like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde)], but it went wrong. It enabled him to change from one form to the other though, oppose to physically separating the two. He creates a whole separate identity for his twisted other form [insert another name here], and using the spell that went wrong, can change at will http://imgur.com/fyxKgBF Hyde http://imgur.com/share/i/ILz0CU6/preview Jekyll
TavernLich 324 Share Posted February 17, 2015 Um... They could have MPD? They can have split personalities all from one person, ( multiple personality disorder). Meaning one could be kind while the other villainous. But they can't change their forms or gain strengths.

But i really was thinking of the split personaliies and split physique. Well there is mental magic combined with contract magic, but you can't play both of the characters then. Well, itd be a bit of mental music and a bit of conjuration but if you read The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde it is basically what i am proposing here. It is not off topic it is character discussion - discussing weather or not it is lore friendly to have a Dr.Jekyll/Mr.Hyde like character.
