What is roleplaying?: To create a fictional character, abilities, origin, back story, etc. and pretend to be that character. 

 

What is metagaming?: Using information that was gained IRL or gained unrealistically IG to get an unfair advantage IG. Example: Someone told me of a trap inside a dungeon so I can avoid it, instead of discovering the danger myself. Or being able to hear someone underground from the surface via chat.

 

What is powergaming?: Is where you do not give the other player a fair chance to do anything in the situation or give any input. Example: "I blind you with dust, take your horse, and leave." Thus not giving time to react. It is also where you give your character divine like abilities that is completely unfair. Example: I can one-shot-kill you with a bow from three hundred blocks away.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

 

Greetings. So you wish to hear the story of Sophos. He asked me to write this biography for him, he said it was for something important, but I fail to recall what it was. Not matter.

 

Sophos was born and raised in the grand Elvin city of Laurelin, in the year 1320, around the time Sage Su wrote the Scroll of Joy.  His life was a simple one, he often loved to explore the forests, and imagined himself a great Elvin knight, in service to the High Prince Native. But that would never come to pass. His father was no more than a humble leather worker. When ever young Sophos was not playing among the trees or helping his mother around the house, he was often found watching his father work. And if he was lucky, his father would teach him how to tan the leather or imprint ornate designs into the wet hide. One of Sophos's favorite activities was going to visit the Laurelin Library, since it was close to his home. Him and his mother would sit and read the countless books and scrolls for hours on end. Sophos's life was happy, and good, that is, until the year 1336, when the Great War began. His father was recruited to be a soldier and went away to fight in that terrible war. Then, on a dark and stormy night, a messenger informed Sophos and his mother, that his father had died in the war. After that day, almost nothing seemed to please Sophos, except all of the stories about his father, that was told to him by the soldiers that guarded the public during the Battle of Laurelin. They said his father fought gallantly, and died a heroes death once the tragic moment came to pass. And those stories would stay with him for many a year.

 

After The Departure, when he and his mother was now living in Normandor, a master leather worker accepted him as an apprentice. And from then on, Sophos worked to become the greatest leather worker in all of Asulon. However, Asulon would soon be destroyed by many natural disasters, and thus forcing the realm to journey to Elysium and Kalos, then eventually to Anthos.

 

After a few years in Anthos, Sophos took up an apprentice of his own, teaching her all that his master, and his father had taught him. Sophos became quite fond of his apprentice. He had found her, a young wood elf, alone beside a road on his travels. Sophos stopped and asked the girl where her parents were. She had told Sophos that her parents had told her to flee as fast as she could, and only stop to wait after one full day of running. She had fled Luminaire while it was being overrun by the Scourge. She continued to tell Sophos that she had been waiting here for the past three days, and nobody came for her. So, Sophos decided. with the girls permission, to take her in as an apprentice and cared for her like she was his own daughter. But a while later, during their time in The Fringe, Sophos lost her to the illness, Khorvad's Grip. After that, a loss of another loved one, he took on the girls name, as his last name to honer her: His first apprentice, Esflet.

 

Personality Traits: Quiet. Strong willed. Kind.

 

Ambitions: To become the greatest leather worker. To meet someone from every Race/Subrace.

 

Strengths/Talents: Great athletic ability. Eloquent. Cunning.

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Fear of caves and tight spaces. Sometimes a temporary loss of dexterity.

 

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Height: 5.7 Weight: 136 Pounds. Long, dark hair. A little facial hair for extra class. Copper eyes.
